Gus gives a fierce haircut! My hair is really hard to tame, but Gus really IS a MASTER BARBER! I get so many compliments on how my hair looks, right up til the day I go back for another. I'm a minister and I was so worried about finding the best haircut when I moved here in 2016. I've always had a fantastic experience at Gus's. Gus diverts all of his attention to each customer and personalizes not only the cut but the overall haircut experience. He works with you to identify what you want in a cut, and will offer suggestions if and whenever necessary. He is extremely adept with a single blade razor, and is able to encapsulate the "Old Timey" barbershop experience in a modern setting with modern amenities. During the pandemic, Gus had made safety a priority and is always double masked. Lastly, the prices are more than affordable in comparison to the outrageously priced Fairfield County barbers that offer half the time, attention, and customer service. His shop is SPOTLESS whether its 9am or 9pm, and the appointment only policy makes it feel like a true personal barber experience at only $30 (not including tip). One star for lack of customer appreciation and scheduling flexibility...due to unexpected traffic I was 10 minutes late to my appointment...Gus called me when I was a few minutes out to tell me that my appointment was cancelled. I understand the need to honor appointment times, but a rigid inflexibility is not a good business practice in my opinion. read more
