This childrens farm is amazing - one of the best I have ever been to. Its got a really big car…read morepark, then you enter the farm over a bridge and are surrounded by play areas and walks. There are three main play areas - one for older children with big climbing frames to play on and in - one shaped like a horse is always a big hit! There is a sand pit in the middle great for younger children if you have older ones on the play equiptment. The second play area is for under 6's and is full of little houses which my little ones love, running in and out of the houses. There is also a play barn with straw - which is a bit annoying as the children come out covered in it but they have loads of fun! There is a large picnic area with a few lovely climb on statues, and chickens and ducks wandering around. There is also lots of walks and well signed routes around the farm, along the river and through fields. In the warm weather there is a river to paddle in. In the summer they have tractor rides - a pound each but always a hit! Animals - they dont have many but they have enough to entertain young children - a few pigs, cows, sheep, donkeys, and a little petting area with rabbits, peacocks and chickens. Really the main emphasis is on playing so teh animals are more of a sideline i feel. There is a restaurant and a cafe which is ok, fairly standard fair and not excellent but does the job. There is also a butchers and a bakers - lovely good quality meat. All in all a nice afternoon out - busy in school holidays but very quiet in term time. Its a £2.50 donation each - they leave it to you to put it in the tubs around the farm. Closed on a monday.

Tescos supermarket near by.. There is a bingo gala hall as well as the big splashdown experiene. Sadly the ice rink is no longer there. You are suppose to be able to spend the entire day there, but unless you are going to pay big money this is not possible. Planners would benefit in adding a picnic area and kids playground as there is nothing like that available down there, unless you count the new indoor play area for children but again this costs, and adults also have to pay to go in. Quasar type of game is also available in the same building as play area, but again it is pricey.. Tips I can give for locals and holiday makers is the cinema does hold a juniour empire session where for a pound each adults and children can watch a choice of 2 films, which the cinema choose to show, these can sometimes be very recent ones and our shown only at 10.30am on a sat or a sun..

The site has plenty of parking but in school holidays can get busy. This is a great place if you ant to do one or a couple of the activities that are on offer as all are within walking distance of each other. Alongside them is a Tesco extra superstore and petrol station, its worth a look if in the area, just look for Poole's water tower.(For those who don't know it looks like a large concrete wine glass !!!!) Cheers!!!

I came in with a friend during a weekday afternoon and we felt like we were out of place not having a child with us, but I can see why this place was overtaken by kids. It is a great opportunity for them to learn more about animals and for the parents to take a little break while their kiddos are running around with others. Really all the visitors except us were parents with children. If childless like us, you can easily run through the whole place within 25 minutes while getting some cuddles in with bunnies and goats. You can be out within half an hour if you don't arrive around the time when they have some of their special program going on (such as milking a cow, brushing ponies etc.). We were not lucky enough to catch those but it still was nice to see the farm. However, I would not return for the price. I would definitely recommend this spot for parents or nannies that are looking for entertaining their children. Cheers!

They also offer tractor rides and pedal tractors n go karts for the kids. It is great fun for children of all ages and is reasonibly priced, we had buy one get one free entry after visiting corfe castle earlier in the week they have a restaurent which is very family orientated with an abundense of highchairs. well worth a trip.
