We purchase these peanuts from a local store like Marshall's or TJ Maxx I think. One of them but…read morethen they didn't have anymore. So my friend went to Amazon and they sent a bent up can. Well we were on our way to VA Beach and saw an sig for the store and it was an immediate stop for us. We pulled in and were glad we did. The selection is so big. I got the lemon. Just wanted to give it a try. Man they are BIG on flavor. It's the first thing you taste. Nice and crunchy. Of course I have to get the original. They are always a hit. Nice big peanuts. We also tried out the samples of the pimento cheese and chicken salad. They have some little cups for you even some little wooden sporks. I liked them both. We ordered a BLT as well. I normally ask for extra may but I'm so glad I didn't this time. This sandwich had plenty tangy mayo. It had a hint of sweetness to it. I couldn't tell which mayo they use but it was good. There was plenty of bacon on the sandwich which was very good because we split the sandwich and didn't have to separate the bacon. The lettuce was bib lettuce and not iceberg which I enjoyed and the tomatoes were very fresh. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Handicap parking on a concrete slab. And the staff if very friendly and made you feel welcome. It has a homey vibe to it. It's a busy place. We were going to stop on the way back home but it was raining and we missed our turn. Definitely a place you should stop.

A great little gift store!…read more Good coffee, great gifts, and cute ambience. Nice spot for a unique gift for anyone. We bought the sriracha peanuts and dill pickle peanuts, both were fantastic. The hot food they make in the kitchen was alright, hot dog was not our favorite. However, a great shop!

I was just following my GPS on a ride to the Outer Banks when I saw a few signs for this business…read moreand the selling of peanuts. When we got there I figured I'd show the kids what a country store is. It was a bit of a throwback in time feel but I am so glad we stopped. I ended up getting a six pack of pony beers, a jar of blackberry preserves and of course some salted peanuts. I had never had blackberry preserves before but my gosh it was delicious. All week for my stay in OBX I made toast with the preserves and loved it. Absolutely a must buy. Then this past weekend I broke out the peanuts for a small get together at my house. I couldn't believe how good they were. I started telling my friends and they all just humored me but then finally tried and we all agreed these were the best peanuts any of the twelve or so of us had ever had. My advice, get the big bag while you are there.

My husband and I travel occasionally between central Virginia and Virginia Beach, usually on…read moreInterstate 64. We recently decided to "see something new" by taking the slower, less familiar route. Despite having lived in Virginia for over 30 years, we didn't realize that we would be traveling through some of the counties where Virginia's famous peanuts are grown. The first billboards near Waverly caught our attention, but we didn't stop at the first shop that was advertised. We decided that, if there were any other peanut shops, we would stop because Virginia peanuts would make a perfect present for our upcoming visits with some non-Virginia friends and relatives. Thankfully, we found Adam's Peanuts and Country Store soon after. As others have mentioned, Adam's is a true country store, with country smoked hams in crates as you enter, homemade jams and jellies, a dizzying array of peanuts (raw, boiled, salted, chocolate-covered, and more), plus much more. As mentioned, we were there for the peanuts, and ended up buying a whole box full -- about $140 worth to be precise. The quality of the nuts is top-notch, and we appreciated the variety of the products. The prices also weren't too bad though my husband tends to compare these to the giant canisters from Costco! The ambiance of the shop was also country comfortable. My 3-star rating mostly reflects the lack of attention from the elderly shopkeepers. While others on Yelp have characterized them as friendly and helpful, that was not our experience. While we were the only customers upon entering, neither greeted us when we came into the store. My husband asked if they had any samples of the nuts for us to try to help inform our decision on which nuts to buy. They didn't, and they seemed befuddled by the question. Finally, in checking out, I tried to engage them in a conversation about peanut growing in the county, to no avail. March, 2025.

High quality food and service!…read more We stopped in for lunch and were warmly greeted by Mr. Dwight. He welcomed us and explained the specials and the menu. There are a lot of different choices. The beef brisket sandwich was tasty ,tender and plentiful as was the pulled pork sandwich. The restaurant is cute, small, and clean . The staff is friendly polite and efficient. I will be stoping back soon for one of their hand-crafted milkshakes. I highly recommend Q Daddy's

Meal took quite a while to arrive (10 minutes after ordering). All chicken tenders were served nearly black. Very hard pieces and overly salted. Ranch was ok, awesome sauce was ok, but it's just bbq with honey mustard. Wanted to use the sweet and spicy sauce but there was no spice whatsoever. Original 49 sauce tasted off. Cheesy potatoes were just huge pieces of potatoes with corn flakes over it and covered in oil/grease. Couldn't have proved it ever saw a shred of cheese. Had no interest in even eating 1/4 of it. Feel like I've hit my grease limit for the week after it. Fries and Mac & cheese were ok, husband enjoyed the pork sandwich but chose not to eat the bun since it seemed stale and overcooked altogether. The bathrooms are out back, thankfully it wasn't raining when we needed them. The whole bathroom was moist from a recent mopping, floor was soaked and slick. The music was loud praise music, something we find rightfully unsettling. Felt like we walked into a church or conservative rally instead of a roadside bbq pit. Living 3 hours away otw home from a trip we can thankfully mark this off the list of ever visiting again. Do not recommend.

We were nuts about Good Earth Peanuts in Skippers, VA! There are barns and outbuildings around the store and a porch that beckons you to the country charm of this place! And yes, we took the token touristy photo of the peanut head! We couldn't resist! We were warmly greeted by the ladies in the shop and we commenced gathering our nutty selections! We purchased a ton of peanut items: a big bag of unsalted peanuts, butter toasted coated pecans, a can of salted peanuts, some smoked ham slices, a bottle of bbq sauce, a funny squishy stress peanut and some other gifts! We wanted some chocolate covered nuts too but we were traveling and it was hot as the dickens and didn't want them to melt! Next time! We had a great time checking out all the jams, jellies, condiments, pickles, nut butters, the ornaments and other items in the shop! Then we headed out to the car! I said, boy I wish the had peanut brittle! And my brother said, they did have some! So I went right back in and bought a couple of containers of the brittle! Mmmm! We opened one right away and this was the best peanut brittle we ever had! Light and airy and crunchy and buttery, not too hard. Our teeth were thankful for that! Go on and get you some! You won't be sorry! This is peanut country after all. And no, Skippy peanut butter wasn't named for this town, but it could have been!

The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm, savory aroma of freshly boiled peanuts and an incredibly friendly lady who made us feel right at home. We browsed around and left with two cups of boiled peanuts, 2 lbs of raw peanuts (to make my own), and a can of butter toasted pecans. The shop is full of goodies, including local honey, trail mixes, and all kinds of flavored pecans and peanuts--perfect for snacks or gifts. What really made this place stand out, though, was what I discovered on their website. The history of the Good Earth Peanut Company and the family behind it is genuinely fascinating. Whether you visit first or just want to learn more before you go, definitely take a moment to read their story--it adds so much heart to the experience.
