There are a few slides, a little race car play thing, a little chipmunk to bounce on. The ground gets very wet and messy. There are no bathroom and even diaper changes are difficult. Either on the ground in grass or on a bench. There seems to be a soccer field further from the playground. We spent maybe 15 minutes here before we decided to take the 5 minute drive to Potomac Yard Park which is infinitely more exciting and fun. I don't see returning here, but I am glad we visited so we can check it off the "no need to visit again" list.

Well because they put on a great class that focuses on developing your soccer skills while adding physical fitness. They have helped me develop the tiny amount of soccer skills I had prior to now, feeling more confident on the pitch. I've had an excellent time learning from these two coaches in Spring session I, can't wait to start session II. Looking forward to putting my newly found soccer skills to the test in a recreational league in the very near future.

Recently, I decided that I'd get back into the sport & a friend suggested taking a class with DC Soccer Sessions as a refresher. I've regretted nothing about this decision since! Ariel and Elise are both quite knowledgeable about the sport from technical & fitness standpoints & they offer a rotating variety of classes that support all skill levels. Plus, they are really some of the most supportive & encouraging people I've ever had the pleasure of learning from!

This is a cute park located in North Arlington close to Rosslyn. It is divided into a 2-5 area and…read morea 5-12 area. There's also a small sandbox. The 2-5 area is just a smaller version of the 5-12 area. It's a tree-themed park so the slides are made to look like hollowed out trees. The steps for the older area lead to a hollowed out cubby tree then up to the big slide. There are a couple grills here and a cement path around the perimeter for riding bikes, scooters, etc. parking is on the street and supposedly pay parking, but you can easily see your car from the park so you may want to take that risk. Currently there is only one big kid swing and no baby swing. The park is fenced in which is nice. I like the fake grass padding all around the play areas. This is not a destination park but if you're nearby, check it out.

8/12/21 After visiting the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial,…read more I started heading back to The Washington Monument on a warm Saturday morning on August 7th.  I started hearing a lot of noises and saw something going on just past the The District Of Columbia War Memorial. I checked out the The District Of Columbia War Memorial before heading to JFK Fields.  I have been to these fields before as a kid.  However, these fields were empty. I also had no knowledge of the DC streets. Nevertheless,  on this particular day,  the fields were full of life.  Girls and boys were playing American Football.  On some fields girls were practicing soccer.     I passed by a young boys football team who were wearing black and purple.   My kind of colors.  Some of them seemed to like my black and purple baseball jersey. Only time will tell if this actually happens to these kids.   There are two public bathrooms by this field, but the circular one was the busiest.  In my honest opinion the farther bathroom  had a better feel and look. It was clean without the heavy stink of...human gas.  I saw that the bathrooms are watched by staff and regularly check the facilities during the sports activities.  Nevertheless,  it started to rain, but this did not stop the kids from playing or the proud moms and dads from cheering for their kid(s) to succeed.   Finding out what all the hubbub was about was worth visiting JFK Fields.

It's certainly an oasis from the city environment. Come if you are close. If driving a ways not worth it. This area is super busy. Traffic can be a real challenge. Parking for the most part isn't too bad. Am grateful for this park, and hope it stays in its current location. Yet the area is known for parks, and there are better ones.

There's a track around the playground and green space that kids ride scooters and bikes on. The playground itself is built more for older kids with ropes to climb to access the slide. There's enough shade and places to sit. Sadly, there aren't restrooms.
