A New Yorker in California, aged 37 with no license. He has lots of easy tips and tricks that make the rules of the road (and of driving safely) easy to remember. Sometimes I still say them to myself while driving on my own. I am a nervous test taker and a few days before my DMV test, for my last lesson, we drove around the Goleta test site. This was AMAZING. We went through the route and during the test it was exactly as we had practiced. I already knew which way to turn and at times wanted to put the blinker on before I was given directions by the examiner. Steve went through details like which parking spot to choose before the text begins and why. I passed on my first try :) All in all, an A+ experience for Steve and his lovely wife who helped schedule the driving classes. Highly recommend.

Unlike a certain driving school I had a negative experience with, this place actually gets you driving behind the wheel for nearly entire allotted time. For some perspective, as soon as I got in the car after some brief formalities (less than 2 minutes), the instructor asked me to start the car and drive. There was no fooling around here. You get what you pay for. We practiced lane changes, freeway driving, and extensive driving techniques in preparation for the driving exam. And from what my daughter told me about her experience ...we highly recommend this school as well. My daughter said, the instructor was calm and patient and also proved all the facts necessary to practice and pass the DVM practical driving test. The entire program is 6 hrs and each driving session (using their car) is 2hrs...we have 4 hrs left. My wife and I practice with our daughter all the concepts that was learned from the first two hours...and I'm certain that my daughters confidence in driving is due to this experience with "Top Notch"

Both instructors were very clear, with specific feedback that prepares you for the actual test. When I drove the test, I received an "excellent" from the DMV tester, with only one minor mistake. (missed one shoulder check). I just moved to California from another country, been driving for years, but need to have a California License. So I'm so glad that iDriving School offers this Test Preparatatory Service. Lets you brush up, identify any bad habits you've picked up over the years, and really gets you ready, so you can do well. The California DMV is so busy, I had to wait weeks to get my test date. So you don't want to have to drive the test twice. The lessons are worth every penny.

The first lesson was super informative. You learn everything you need to know about your car from turn signals to hand signs and blind spots. The second lesson, is where your taken around town and drive with your instructor and they will help you more about driving. The last lesson is that the instructor takes you on the routs the driving test people take you on. After I completed all my lessons, I took my driving test 1 week after and got my license.
