Needs to be taken off of Yelp. This business is permanently closed. Very disappointed to drive over an hour to find the business was gone

I took my son to the range to shoot today. As we approached the counter, one of the young men…read morebehind the counter asked what caliber rifle we were going to be firing, and I told him. He asked to see the rounds we were going to be firing, and I obliged, and gave him the five 30- round magazines of ammo we brought. I understand that confirmation is needed to make sure we didn't bring the wrong type of ammo to an indoor range. He immediately snapped at me "don't ever bring loaded magazines like this again". I understand that Hoover Tactical has policies, but I wasn't crazy about the idea of his tone and the fact he was talking to me this way in the presence of my son as I'm being a compliant customer. The man behind the counter emptied all of the magazines in a plastic tray. Again, I have no problem with this. As he was emptying the second magazine, he said "IM GLAD I CHECKED BECAUSE HE HAS ARMOR PIERCING ROUNDS!" He said this where there was no way that the others in line didn't hear it. I tried to tell him that none of the rounds I brought were armor piercing. I told him that I bought the rounds at palmetto state. He replied in a loud and arrogant tone "I don't care where you bought them!" I decided the best thing I could do was to let him conclude whatever he wanted to conclude. A few minutes later I heard him say very quietly "maybe they're alright". After he had unloaded the five 30 round magazines, I went to get the ammo and magazines from the counter. He said "Sorry I had to take them all out, not sorry for you, sorry for me". My line of work, I have to train with firearms. As a matter of fact, my employer has a contract with Hoover Tactical. It's a very convenient location for me as I live about a mile and a half away. But I don't patronize businesses that don't treat me like a customer. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I felt it was my responsibility to report the treatment my son and I received. It was unnecessary.

Precision Tactical Arms Company - Took my cheap, no frills AR in. Love the work they did. New rail and destressed Cerakote makes this a whole new rifle.

This should really have Neg stars for rating. I took a 25 cal pistol that had jammed when reloading…read morea shell, asked at counter if they could service it. They said, oh yes, it shouldn't be a problem... My 25 was there for 2 months, and I got no phone call or txt as to issues, ordering parts, if it was fixed, or if they couldn't fix it. During the 2 mos, I went to the gun store 5x asking if it was done, and every time was told, the gunsmith was sick on not there and he was really backed up. So much for an update. Went there on 1/24 and worker there brought it out all taken apart on a small tray. He said the so-called gunsmith had tried to order a part, but couldn't get it. Also said that the gunsmth would be in next day and he'd have him just put it back together so I could pick it up, said there shouldn't be a charge, as he didn't fix it. Went back the next day to get it. Guy came to counter to help me. Told him I was there to pick up the 25, that it had been there for 2 mos, and I was told it needed a part that they couldn't get. Also told him I had gotten no calls either way, that I had been there 5x, and every time I was told, the gunsmith was either not there or sick, and that he was really backed up on his work.. He said, well I'm the gunsmith, I remember that gun. Brought it out on a small tray all in pieces and proceeded to tell me that he couldn't locate a part for it. Asked him what part was bad, he had no idea.. Looking at all the pieces, I noticed a piece was missing that holds the barrel/springs in the gun. Asked him where that piece was, said he didn't know. Then he said that that was the part that he had to order cause it was cracked.. Told him that it was a solid piece of steel and that it wasn't cracked when I took it apart, and where is it? Still had no answer of where the part was. Granted, it started to piss me off that someone so incompetent would even have a job there, let alone, working on GUNS.. Things that could seriously hurt someone if not assembled correctly, and if he can't fix a tiny 25 cal pistol, God help anyone who needs work done on their gun. Told him that the guy, the day before told me that it would be put back together and there shouldn't be a charge, as it didn't get fixed. Then he told me, Well, I don't know who you talked to, but it's $39 to pick it up. Pissed me off.. Asked him, why would I pay for work that hadn't been done, as the gun was in pieces, Plus 1 of the pieces was missing. Then he takes the tray with the gun parts behind the curtain, into the back of store. He comes back out and says, I'm not going to talk to you if you're going to raise your voice and use that tone with me... This, after not keeping me up to date on ANY progress, then losing one of the parts, and having no idea where it is, and wanting me to pay for His incompetence.... If anything, I should be reimbursed for the missing part.. Told him just put it in a bag, I'd pay it, and wouldn't be back. He put the pieces in baggies and then had the balls to say, I'll call you if that part comes in... WHATEVER... If you have half a brain, DO Not Shop Here... Save yourself the misery of dealing with this Incompetent Fool/Business. Not worth your time... And if you read other "negative" Reviews you'll find that some idiot from there ALWAYS tries to turn the story around and say something about "Customer raised his voice, or was cussing at me", blah, blah, blah, and they were in the wrong...LIES, Period.. And I just bet it's the so-called "gunsmith" that types in HIS version of what happened. He evidently thinks it is Just "Business as Usual" to Rip people off, and expect them to just smile and take it. It's no wonder people get pissed off and raise their voice... DUH.. So, if you are reading this, you piece of sht, gulp it down, you are worthless.... KARMA, biatch...
