It's a restaurant that has stood the test of time and weathered the emergence of more modern and hip restaurants in the Greenhills area. All because they still serve the familiar, mouthwatering dishes they have since years ago. My family would still come here, partly driven by a sense of nostalgia and partly because of their oh so delicious crab vermicelli pot dish. The waiter would show you the live crab (choose between a variety of sizes) then scurry to the kitchen, and minutes later you'd have a divine meal on your table. Accompany that with their halaan soup and their fried rice and you got yourself a happy belly. While King Crab House feels a bit old and dated, it's still a good meal.

Bag O' Shrimps - 5 Stars If you're craving a messy,…read moredelicious seafood feast, Bag O' Shrimps hits the spot. The crab boil was bursting with flavor -- rich, garlicky, and perfectly seasoned so every bite packed a punch. Portions were generous, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality and freshness. What really made the experience stand out was the warm, family-friendly vibe. The staff treated us like old friends, making the whole meal feel relaxed and fun. The casual, welcoming ambiance is perfect for rolling up your sleeves, digging in, and enjoying great seafood with great company. This is the kind of place you leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and maybe a little sauce on your shirt -- exactly how a crab boil should be.
Experience:…read more Prominent things in this restaurant would be the hanging decoration near the lights and walls, gloves for eating, seafood in a bag, and a sink for hand washing. There's no restroom inside but Atrium's is just right across. Clam Chowder: This was a good way to start our meal! Soup was thick, having a creamy texture that was filling enough along with some clam. Seafood Specialties: Main course of today's meal was mussels and shrimp. Before anything, I gotta mention how fun it was to eat everything with plastic gloves on. I've tried this with wings elsewhere and now seafood at Bag O' Shrimps; just pure fun! I still dare to put aside using a spoon to eat the rice drenched in their amazing sauces. Shrimps were fresh plus easy and fun to peel before dipping back into its amazing sauce before eating. We added corn to everything and even that was fun to eat. It's a bit messy on the mouth though. Mussels were impressively large and probably the largest I've seen so far. You can easily tell from the shells already and when you see the actual mussels, amazing! The sauce was just as tasty as the shrimps' but with a bit more spice. Service: Standard good service! Good luck eating the rice with your hands. I'd also love to hear everyone's thoughts! Did scooping a handful and pushing it up with your thumb still work with the gloves on.

There are a handful of paluto restaurants in here to complement the surprisingly good seafood market there, but the undisputed leader of the pack would have to be Aling Tonya's. Tracing its roots to Baclaran, Aling Tonya's has been doing seafood cooking for four decades, and their expertise really shines through. I've eaten at this branch a couple of times and I swear I've never had a bad order. They do shrimps and tahongs very, VERY well. Sauteed, fried, or steamed, they just know how to cook. They do wonders with crabs, fish, and squids as well. My personal favorites would be their garlic buttered shrimps, their grilled squid, and their steamed tahong.

Also, grilled pork belly and eggplant omelette. My first time here. This place is located all the way inside the huge commercial area. It's all the way in the back with two Security outposts. Its next to 7-11 store. They're famous for seafood that you can order by kilos and they will cook it for you. The garlic crab is the best! Already been sliced and arranged in a serving plate. The calamari and shrimp tempura were breaded and fried. Crunchy but soft inside. Taste great. The pumpkin w/long Chinese string beans were sautéed and mixed in coconut milk. It's delicious. The eggplant salad was boiled and skinless. Sliced and mixed in vinegar, sliced onions and tomatoes. Taste good! Their grilled pork belly is marinated well. Authenticly delicious. The eggplant omelette is soft and moist. Taste good. The serving staff is courteous and helpful. Serving is average, so as the cost of food. Clean separate Men, Women and Person in need bathrooms. No changing table.

Our experience there was great; from the beginning of us arriving until our very last waddle out of the establishment, everything was great. For special occasions there pull out the stops. I'd be sure to check the website to see what's going on. That's what I did, and even though I had an idea of what to expect, they still exceeded what I expected. There was live music, and food all over the place. They even set up extra stations, with extra lechon, octopus, lapu lapu, lechon tuna for instance. The latter two were nice to experience as less common options. There was cuisine from all around the world, and all types of vegetables and proteins. It was impossible to try everything. There was fresh seafood, and you could even have it cooked/grilled if you're not the type to eat it freeesshhhh. There was food from all continents, sashimi, salads, and anything for most picky person. There were so many desserts too. If on a diet, just concede that you'll have a cheat day. Since we went on a special occasion, in addition to the live entertainment, they had some extras too. They had pictures for those who wanted, as well as sending us home with a generous loaf of (delicious) banana bread. When in the area for a special occasion, will definitely be back. Reservations highly recommended; if asked for a deposit, be sure to tell your service staff to make sure it's reflected on the bill.

Walking in there are many tanks of live fishes and shell fish (lobster and crabs) outside. The menu has several options to try a variety of dishes/feasts. It states what entrees are included and number of people it can serve. The food is served in very large boards or trays with banana leaves. The entrees are places directly onto the banana leaves to eat, with the exception of soups which are in bowls. It's very popular to eat "boodle", which is when the tray is placed in the middle and everyone eats with their hands. They do provide disposable gloves for everyone. There is also an option, which is how I ate, is with a plate and utensils. For our large party, we ordered at least 5 different large party orders × 4. So we had at least 20 boodle feasts ordered. It was a very large order that Seafood Island accommodated. The presentation of the food is pretty cool as there is a good variety in each boodle feast. There are several areas to wash your hands during the meal if you choose to eat with your hands. I ended up getting pretty sick the same night after eating here, likely from maybe the seaweed or some other dish. Had it not been for getting sick, the experience here would have been much better.

I can't even explain its taste, I just remember lots of garlic-ey awesome! And yes, the fact that the shrimp weren't skinned was a bit of a downer but I realized that eating them with the skin actually added to the taste! Try it with their Bagoong Rice.
