The food was all cooked fresh from scratch, the order took 30 minutes to complete and was still hot when we got it back home 5 miles away. The chicken tikka was good, moist and flavorsome. The dupiaza and pasanda were tasty and light, no big puddles of ghee on top! For the price you get a lot of rice. Only one serving is needed for two people. The only disappointment was the onion bhajee which was greasy and lacklustre. I would love it if Jaipur was my local.

The restaurant was busy and fortunately had a table open despite not having booked ahead. We were lucky because the restaurant got full quickly and had a warm humming background murmur without being loud or disruptive. The naan was light and flavorful. The balti chicken was good enough to be my son's new favorite dish though could have been spicier. The vegetable rice was excellent. I got to try a new beer that I had never had before (Cobra). My partner and I bought 2 curries from them tonight, and we were both disappointed . The sauces were weak and almost tasteless, slightly watery even, as opposed to the thick tasty ones we are used to. The chicken was chewy with not much taste, and the lamb was terribly bland and just awful. The rice was fine, the naan was also a bit bland. I do not know if they have new chef, but the standard has most definitely slipped and we are not sure we will eat there again. A shame, as we have eaten their food for years and it has always been delicious. They definitely need a new chef if this is the best they can offer now.

Wish we would have had a decent server to explain this, but the service was terrible. And why so many rules on the menu....it literally says on the menu they have other people to serve so don't stay too long, how welcoming. Each person MUST order a main entree. If you order certain items during peak season they probably won't have them, and to ask if it's available before you order! (Isn't that what ordering implies). And BYOB? Give me a break. The menu had little description on any of the entrees, and good luck getting through their "rules" on the back of the menu before your "time" is up. Hard pass on this one.
