By the middle of the first season she had the skills to orient herself into a floating position and hold it. It's such an important skill for toddlers to have. She's now 3 1/2 and is very comfortable in the pool. We started my 1 year old granddaughter this year and she's already doing great. Which instructor would I recommend? ALL of them. Sink or Swim does an amazing job of finding people who genuinely care about the safety of all of our children. We have had lessons with Clint, Trish, Anna, Claire, and many others. If you are interested in swim lessons for your child that focus on drowning prevention, give Sink or Swim a try.

Truly the most horrible experience I have ever had! Please avoid this place if you have little…read moreones. My son came close to drowning due to instructor negligence. I had to run in and pull him out of the water because his instructor's back was turned the majority of the class time to my son and another male student, only focused on one female student. The instructor put my son on the edge and when he could not pull himself out he fell in the water which was over his head. He is 3!! He could not touch and was under water. I ran in from the watching area, had to open a door and go inside and still made it to him faster than anyone in the pool. I asked for cameras to be reviewed so this does not happen to any other children but they said there are not cameras in that area. My son is now traumatized around water. If you have older ones who can touch then you might be okay here but if you have little ones run for their own safety!!!

Just walk in feeling like you've acquired a foot fungus without even taking your shoes off yet. The showers are hit or miss on hot water and the pressure is a bit off as well. I am not here for the bathroom though so i am a definite fan of the pool. Love that it is a straight 50m. The entire pool is 6' plus which doesn't allow you to set foot on the bottom and fully rest in between your sets but other than that i really like the place. Only other drawback for me is that it is out by the mall. I live downtown in the historic district and don't have a car and it is a 7.5mi bike ride one way. I understand that most people have cars here but does make it inconvenient for me. No direct bus either or anything close to making it convenient to get here by public transport. If i wanted to take CAT it would take at least an hour to get there and on my bike it is only 30mins so doesn't make much sense for me.
