This beach was like no other beach I had been to. Being the…read moreexplorative individual I am, I stumbled upon this beach which I thought would be a perfect spot to spend my birthday exploring. Urghhh not so much...!!!! This place is located in a residential area and I drive around on a unbusy Monday being a work day but, it still took me like 30mins to try to find a park just to enjoy the beach. I was thinking I did t make a good choice for a beach day. Anywho finally after spotting a person pull out from a street parking spot, finally I was able to park. Next venture i had to figure out was how to get to the beach now. Because of road blocks, I ended up having to ask 2 men at a hotel and they directed me which way to go. At this point, I'm starting to feel defeated but, I'm determined. At least, close to an hour later...I see the beach. It did had a water sprouting from the ground, a few swings for couples so nice landscaping. Then there was the beach, sadly it was not at all what I had expected as the water was muddy looking. Also the sand-flies were aggressive & everywhere. I sat on a boat for a few minutes checking out the view but, honestly on this day it was not much to enjoy beside the wedding that was about to take place. After only 10mins sitting, the sand-flies won! I left the beach and walked around and went through a restaurant which I noticed a lovely pool and a Tiki Bar next door. So thought I would grab a cocktail to start celebrating my birthday to but, not before getting bite 5-6 times by the very aggressive sand-flies. Warned: The beach does not offer the most easiest access to get to. I would have preferred going to Orange Beach in AL so, for this reason instead of staying the 2 nights I planned on staying...it would t have been worth the money. I only stayed in Hilton Head 1 night!!!!!!! Please put up signage so, people know where to PARK and BEACH ENTRANCE SIGNAGE so, 1st timers will not be defeated in trying to go to the correct area of the beach. It's not fun feeling like you're in a maze when visiting somewhere new.

I needed a place to work out on my recent vacation to Hilton Head and the gym at the Players Club…read moreResort was the closest and the cheapest to the house that we rented in Sea Pines. The gym is located just a couple of minutes outside of the lower gate (N. Sea Pines Drive) near the intersection of Cordillo Parkway and Deallyon Road. I bought the weekly pass for $30, but you can also buy a 2 day pass for $20 or a 1 day pass for $12. The gym was serviceable for being on vacation, but it is not a gym that I would join on a long-term basis. The gym has all of the weight and cardio machines that you need, but they fit as many of them as possible into their space, and as a result, the machines are uncomfortably close together. One day I was on the stationary bike and the dude next to me shook his head and his sweat landed on my arm. Another day, also while on the stationary bike, a lady got on the bike next to me and she smelled like wild yams. On the flip side, I never had to wait for a machine or cardio equipment because of the fact that they were packed in there. There is one set of free weight dumbbells that has all the weights from 2 to 70 lbs or so. All of the weight machines are functional and are Nautilus circa early 2000s. There are many different machines to work every muscle group. All and all, I would come back this gym on my next visit to the island, but I'm glad I don't have to come here every day.

That said, I haven't had any bad experiences at this location. It's definitely smaller, so when it's busy, it can be a little harder to move around or access certain equipment. However, everyone I've encountered has been kind and respectful, which makes a big difference. It also seems a bit cleaner than the other location--possibly due to its size and easier upkeep. When working out with a small group, the more compact layout actually makes things feel a bit cozier and more connected. ! I like the mirrors ... Lol but I can see how it can be hard for people to use the restroom/ shower because it's only 4 stalls and the toilets are in with the shower. Overall, it's a solid alternative while my preferred location is being updated!

A friend of ours had told us about the Tiny Tots play time here and so we made a playdate here with…read moreher and her daughter. We have been twice already and my little one is obsessed! She now expects this as part of her weekly routine. As you walk in, there is a small reception area with some dance uniforms and then when you walk in a little further, it opens up to the actual gym as well as the bathroom and cubby area where you can store your shoes and things. When you walk into the gym part, the employee has her table set up there and takes payment there. Also, there is a waiver form to fill out (only once and valid for future visits). The gym features trampoline, foam pit, bars, balance beams, that ladder looking thing and my little one's favorite (and seems to be everyone's also) the roller coaster toy that has a little rolling track. She loves rolling on it backwards! When: Tiny Tots is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:00. Cost: The cost is $5 per session. You would think how could these kids possibly run around for 1.5 hours, but sure enough, our kids maximized the time and didn't want to leave toward the end!
