We had our own host that stayed with the group of boys the entire time, explaining to them each activity and assisting them. The host served the pizza, drinks & cake and answered questions. She checked in with me throughout & made the whole experience a lot more fun for the kids! The staff is helpful and friendly and they have a variety of ceramics to choose from to paint. They also have options for painting canvases and creating glass art, which I haven't tried yet. I like the new location, which now has a space in the back with booths, etc for a quieter experience or for a group that needs a little more space to work. The only thing that threw me off was that there are a few different spots that have the ceramic options to paint, but they are on opposite side of the room, etc. So after browsing & selecting an item to paint, I happened to see another display on the other wall with items to choose from, but didn't notice them until after the fact. It would be a little easier to see all of my options in one area, but I also understand that people need the space to browse without being too crowded. I like being able to do something "artistic" without having a plan or following instructions. It might not always look the best, but I always have fun doing it!

They were initially a bit nervous about doing camp in a new place as tourists however after the first day they both said they want to do it again! The camp is very organized and the counselors are very responsible and great with kids and do lots of fun activities throughout the morning. The morning camp is 8:30-12:30 and they do at least an hour at the pool each day. Highly recommend trying it if you want a morning off to go paddle boarding or yoga or biking on the island without hearing "can we please go back to the pool?" Enjoy!!!

It was an off week at this Conference Center as it is closed along with the Camp from right before…read moreChristmas through New Year's Day. Some of this place is on the marsh or in the forest, while other parts are on the ocean. St. Christopher Camp has been here since the 1930s and has some rustic older buildings but you can sense a presence as you walk this place with an employee guide as I had this day. There are cabins with bunk beds for some and individual cabins with full baths also. There are a number of chapels and gathering places, including a large outdoor fire pit with seating. Of course, there is a kitchen and dining rooms to handle even a hundred or more, I would think. It was great to explore this place where I had been literally decades and decades ago.
