If you're sitting at the register, you should at least be aware of customers coming in and out and be ready to assist them. His name was Eddie, although he had covered his last name with a white sticker. I will say that the store itself looked very nice, but unfortunately, the customer service I experienced left a very bad impression.

Goodwill was found in 1902 by Boston Minister, Reverand Edgar J. Helms. He took donations from…read morewealthy Bostonians and hired people who were poor and who could fix the items. The items were then given to the people who worked on them or resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This Goodwill store is one of their boutique locations that sell name brands and may be priced higher than a traditional Goodwill store. Some boutique locations have tried to make their stores look nicer but this small store looks like a traditional Goodwill. In addition to clothes, they sell home decor, art, jewelry, and accessories. I noticed a blue coach purse was selling for $35. On the day I visited green tags were 50 percent off. I found 14 pieces of my grandmothers china pattern that was marked down from $25 to $12.50. I was helped by the sweetest sales girl Winter. She shared in my delight at finding the china. There is a lot of thrift stores in this immediate area and this is a good one to check out.

A Blast From the Past is owned by Dee Ziemba and it is made up of two boutiques, a couture boutique in front of the store selling designer handbags, shoes, clothing, and accessories, and a vintage boutique in the back with costume jewelry, hats, and collectibles. There was so much interesting art and beautiful porcelain but my favorite part of the store was the costume jewelry. It reminded me of all the time I spent looking through my grandmas jewelry box. I loved examining all of the gorgeous enamel pins and earrings that used to adorn the classiest of ladies. I also loved a Chanel bag and a really cool pair of Gucci sunglasses.
