Here's kind of an odd comment about a gas station: the pumps are extremely fast. Once you debit card goes through the gas is available to pump immediately. Every 7th coffee is free which brings the cost down lower. I like the reward points. (More free coffee.) There is a decent amount of staff turnover, but it is a gas station. I find this location clean, and in the short interactions I have had, the staff is polite. The gas is competitively prices, but is not the cheapest around. So if you drive around you can find gas that is $0.03-0.05 less expensive. There is the usual junk food and quick breakfast and lunch options. Lots of drinks, both in cans, bottles and though the drink dispensers. No bathrooms are available. My suggestion if you are going to frequent Speedway is to get a rewards card. It is worth it!

I filled my tank with about $30 worth of gas and then I was cleaning my windows the interior and…read moreexterior as I could not see well. I may be spent 10 minutes in doing so there was no one waiting for me there were four pumps free, I was doing what was necessary for my immediate travel. As I'm finishing up the clerk comes out and tells me that I need to leave because if it's not a car wash and that I was trespassing. This was so out of right field and it took me a minute because I thought she was talking to someone else or something might have been wrong with her. I asked her if she was speaking to me and she said "Yes I want you to leave right now your trespassing! This is not a car wash and I want you to leave". She said it 3 times! So I told her to call the police as I was doing nothing wrong and she was kind of harassing me. I'm not the type of person to engage in confrontation so she could clearly see I started finishing up and got into my car. She then gets on the phone and God knows who she was calling but she comes right up to my car and starts circling around it. I wanted to actually wait for the police to arrive but had things to do. This place has the rudest customer service I've never seen anything like it. Again there was nobody reading there is actually someone in the car two pumps away laughing at her and telling me to ignore her. She was about maybe 18 years old and I'm 50 years old so I wasn't about to waste any more time engaging with her or explaining that I've ever right to be doing what I'm doing as this is a car facility that offers tools to wash your windows I don't know if it's because I wasn't using them and I was just using Windex but it was a very weird experience. She was a large dark haired dark-skinned young lady so if you go there and see her, be careful,.she is combative,. probably due to boredom and I don't think she realizes what a gas station is used for. I didn't even go inside! There was nothing to justify her behavior.

Today, it was all about the car.. I wanted to pamper my car with a mini express detail at Prestige…read moreCar Wash. I bought a Groupon a while back and finally decided to use it. Before the Groupon, I had never heard about this place. I paid $45 for a "$100 value". In the end, I found that I actually paid $45 for $45 value. I arrived to an assembly line type of operation where you wait in line a bit to get started. I waited for about 25 minutes as there were several cars ahead of me. The cars were vacuumed and the windows were wiped down with glass cleaner on the inside. When it was my turn, the workers said nothing to me as I got out of my car to get out of their way. I approached one of the employees and asked them where I should wait. They pointed me in the direction of an enclosed vestibule area where I could watch what was going on. In addition to window cleaning and vacuuming, my leather seats and pretty much everything else was wiped down with Armor All. After about 10 minutes, I watched as the car was brushed down with soap and the tires were pre-treated. My car was then put through a car wash. I followed the car along the entire length of the car wash. When it was done going through, there was someone there to receive it at the end. My car was wiped off with a rag and the tires were oiled. That's it. There was no wax job, no carpet cleaning. It turns out that the Mini Express Detail at Prestige Car Wash equates to nothing more than a glorified car wash. I would not pay more than $45 for what was done to the car here. If you are looking to have your car detailed, your money would be better spent elsewhere. I'm sure my car would be just as disappointed as I am if it knew any better. Next time, i will be sure to pay a little more to get a proper detailing. From the looks of it, that's going to have to be sooner rather than later since this job is only going to hold me over for so long.
