There are four other places in the area not one of them asked for this I was rather put off and declined to further look at any homes there.

Home was ordered and then delivered to my uncles property on December 11th. Permits were submitted first days of January and permits approved January 8, 2024. It came to my attention on January 10th that the home on the property is not the home I chose and purchased. When I inquired about this, I was told a whole strew of lies to cover up their mistake. Let me give a bit of a background; In August 2023, Hurricane Idalia came through the area. During the storm, it knocked over a tree on my grandmother (who was 100 at the time) and uncle's (who is disabled) mobile home, making them needing to leave the home as they could no longer live there. Thankfully we were able to get them into a rental home for the time being while I looked to secure them a new home. So this home is not for me, but for my grandma and uncle. They have had a rough couple of years with my aunt (who also used to live with them) passing away in March and then my father passing away in May, just months from each other. Then with the hurricane happening and them having to be displaced, I wanted to do something nice for them ( I know my dad would have done the same if he could). From this moment on, everything became a snowball. To say I was mad, is an understatement. I was immediately put in touch with Michael. Michael and I agreed to meet in person at the home to where we would discuss everything. He came in with a piece of paper which supposedly I saw and wrote on (per his office's word). I had my own paperwork to which I had my writing on along with BJ's and you could clearly see who's writing was who's on the paper of layout of the home (which I never saw). Word of advice, make sure they show you and you sign the layout of the home that you are purchasing to avoid problems. When Michael realized the handwriting was not mine, he folded the paper and asked me, how can we make this better? We toured the home and I specified what needed to be done to which he agreed upon. I also made it very clear that we needed this to move along quickly as my grandmother and uncle needed to be back in their home. At the end of our meeting, Michael handed me money and a gift card to Lowe's from my "trouble". I did not feel comfortable or think this was the right thing to do as it seems he was trying to bribe me. I told him that I did not want to accept this but he insisted. I have yet to touch the money or gift card. Our meeting happened on January 13th and they finally received their keys March 25th. I do not believe that they had any urgency for them as they were already paid. Also, at the welcome home walk through, they give everyone a gift card for Lowes. Make sure you check the balance on that before going to the store as the one given had no money on it which means my family had to pay out of pocket for their purchases. Two things I am happy I did were: getting EVERYTHING IN WRITING. I got to where I no longer accepted speaking to them verbally and would only communicate via text/email. I also hired a private Home Inspector and had him come out 3 times to make sure Clayton Homes took care of everything that was in the report. Buyer Beware, this was the worst experience I've ever had with a company and I was so excited to be officially done with them!

They…read moreare a bunch of washed up used car salesmen selling a cheap product that will definitely disappoint you. Everything they said has been nothing more than lies. Once they get your money, you are on your own to figure out what to do next. With that said, we finally receive our home, took them weeks to set it up. We get inside, it looks like a 13 year old in his first wood shop class built it. Absolutely junk. Holes in the walls, trim is cut differently throughout the home, the kitchen looked nothing like we were expecting. On top of that, Live Oak homes only employs non-English speaking immigrants that come to your home to fix the countless problems and you will have no way to communicate with them. Save your money and sanity, don't buy through Family Home Center. They are griters selling inferior products you will be stuck with. I would give 0 stars if possible. Mike Love our salesman was horrible. 0 communication, told us to call all the contractors ourselves when it was their job to do. STAY CLEAR OF HIM AND FHC.

THIS IS THE WORST HOME BUYING EXPERIENCE ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE EVER BEEN THROUGH!!…read more My family runs a business where we buy land and new mobiles and then sell the finished product. We decided to give family home center a try and have regretted that decision since before the home was even installed. First our deposit on a specific model meant nothing to them. They sold the unit out from under is without so much as a phone call or email letting us know that our purchase was being given to somebody else. We had to learn that our house was gone after the fact when we were finally ready for installation. The managers refused to admit any wrong doing and offered to sell us a completely downgraded model. We couldn't afford to lose the deposit so we agreed to move forward with a lessor model home. The installation did not go as planned either. At some point in the delivery process the entire air conditioning system had been damaged and the certificate of occupancy became impossible to get as they continued to delay the fix. We had an interested buyer who needed to be in before Christmas and it wasn't until after New Years when they finally repaired the A/c systems. Finally allowing us to get the certificates however we had already lost that sale. Since then we have put in warranty orders for cosmetic repairs needed in order to sell the home. It has been over 5 months since the warranty claim has been put in and still no repairs ha e been made. When I call the company my calls go unanswered or screened with no responses, my emails are ignored, and all service dates have been cancelled last minute with no warning, or notice. This company has no customer service skills, no professional business practices, and a completely unqualified staff. Not one single process of this has gone according to the plans that they set forth themselves! And when I do happen to get a hold of somebody they chuckle and tell me I'm lucky they are working as fast as they are for me and that most people wait much longer!! STAY AWAY FROM FAMILY HOME CENTER! STAY AWAY FROM LIVE OAK HOMES!

I recently was able to look up the details of my addition on the county permit search portal and it disclosed many issues (including several failed inspections) that were never reported to me during or after the construction. Needless to say it explains all the problems that arose in the following years. I called the owner several times when I started noticing the problems but got tired of all the back and forth and eventually just gave up and dealt with the problems as they arose. (There were many) This came as both an emotional and monetary toll. I am shocked that this company is still in existence.

This work was completed while they were in Pennsylvania. My parents made two partial payments by credit card at the beginning and during the project. At project completion they were still away and had only seen a few pictures of the work. At that point they paid in full except for $300 which was left to pay once they arrived back to the property and could inspect the final product. My parents arrived back in Florida at the end of October and called AA to explain their disappointment with the quality of the work. Pieces were miscut, cut short and crooked, the room leaked, daylight showed through door jambs, caulking was poorly done, the front entry door dragged on the ground and could not be opened fully, door plunger was attached in the wrong place, etc. They requested that the installed items be taken out and re-done. After many calls, my parents decided to dispute the charges with their credit card. Once the disputes were opened AA sent two employees to look at the project. They agreed that it was a poor job. My parents were told that the owner of AA would decide further action. After numerous additional calls, the owner came out on December 4 to see the job. This was 5 weeks after the first call notifying them of the issues. AA had several excuses for the poor quality, mainly citing inexperienced workers. AA assured my parents that they could repair the work and make it right. AA worked one day to attempt to cover-up the mistakes, but the work still looks unprofessional and the back porch still leaks. The employees stated that they would return to complete the repairs. At the end of this one day of attempted repairs AA requested final payment by check. My parents did not make payment because the job was still not completed professionally. On December 7 AA called to request payment again. My parents again notified them that the job was not completed. On December 12 my parents received a notice of intent to lien. AA has not completed the work and my parents do not intend to pay for any of the work completed to date as it needs to be removed and replaced. Based upon their performance and actions I would strongly suggest not hiring AA.
