Figured it's a simple enough task for a watch store to handle. Well, upon asking if they could measure the band for me the lady was able to muster up a good look of disgust and told me she was unsure how they were going to do that. Really? (Pull a band pin out and lay it flat and measure it with any number of primitive measuring devices such as, oh I don't know, a ruler or tape measure maybe??) So, the watch goes into the back for the battery change and the gentlemen comes back out with *gasp* a pin removed and a tape measure, go figure. We get it measured and all is fine. 30 minutes goes by and I'm kind of wondering where the heck the watch went. Yup, you guessed it. Broke a link putting it back together. I get it, accidents happen. But I think this is beyond just a simple mistake. I lost all confidence in this shop and their employees. The guy that busted the link was incredibly sorry, I get that and it's OK my friend. Heck, I break stuff all the time but that's why I brought the watch into the watch shop for repair and service, not doing it myself. I wouldn't trust these people servicing anything more expensive than a Seiko. I'm giving 2 stars and not just 1 because they have some very nice pieces in their shop. The gentlemen who I can only imagine as the owner was really friendly to those I watched him interact with. One lady saw me standing their and invited me to sit down in her office so I wouldn't have to keep standing. There was some friendliness but lacked knowledge of what you would figure as simple watch repairs.

The signs on the store and multiple websites state that the store's hours are 9:30 to 5 Mon-Sat. I came by a few months ago around 4 store closed up lights off everyone gone home no sign on door indicating why they closed early. Today on my attempt to shop here I pulled up saw a closed sign and and 3 employees staring out the window at me like I was cuckoo for trying to shop at 4:00. Frustrated, I emailed to the address on their website indicated for feedback to see if they actually stayed open until 5. I received a quick but terse response from the general manager stating that they closed early for "inclement weather" for the safety of the employees and that it had never happened before today without advance notice. First, what they called "inclement weather" I call rain. Traffic was abundant and none of the surrounding businesses were closing early. Secondly, yes it has happened before and stating that it isn't so is an implication that I'm telling a lie. Not a very nice way to treat a potential customer who rarely gets to shop during the bankers hours that this business keeps. If I were a vendor I'd certainly be asking myself if this business is even keeping the paltry hours that they are supposedly open. Or do they just shut it down every time it rains, the wind blows or a bird poops on their windshield? If you're a vendor here and not selling much it may just be because we can't buy your goods through a locked door I do try to support small business but those that keep hours that are unfriendly to folks who work for a living and in essence call me a liar are doing their best to keep myself and other shoppers out. I'll take the hint. Will I try it again? Nope.

I brought two pieces of jewelry here, a watch to be repaired and a wedding ring to be resized. After a over a week I still had not received word if either could be repaired/adjusted or price estimates for either. I called twice, both times I was told that they were busy and would call me right back with estimates but I never received calls back at which point I picked up my items and brought them to Bere's jewelry down the road, who quickly gave me an exact price and time to pick up my jewelry. This store seems to specialize in clocks and fails to give the time of day to other customers although they advertise doing so. Also, they do charge $25 just to look at your fixable items (which will be subtracted if paid to repair), but fortunately I did not have my items inspected after the 7-10 day time period, so that was avoided. Mr K. Thank you for reaching out and researching the case. However, the watch I dropped off was not LED or LCD, it was a Ferrari analog watch with a digital clock as well. If t was analyzed/inspected the employees at the front desk did not inform me of the case, they said it had not been looked at yet. The ring was also not sized as I did try it on and it it fit the same, and again I confirmed it with the employees at the front desk.

I never received a call back so left a message for Alyssa to call me. I waited several days but never heard from her. I tried calling and leaving messages but she was "unavailable" to take my call. It's hard to believe there was no interest in designing and selling a piece of jewelry I budgeted $2000 for.
