I was shocked initially to see this place has three 5 out of 5 stars. I took my guitarron to get wooden mechanical tunning pegs installed.
When I got my Guitarron back, the pegs had been installed incorrectly. The bottom pegs were on top and the top pegs were on the bottom so I couldn't tune the Guitarron. Although the 6 pegs look identical they are not the same. There's a metal side and a nylon side. They put the nylon side on the metal side and the metal side on the nylon side.
I immediately called Sevillano's and explained the situation; instead of a courteous customer friendly, "oh I'm sorry; if this is a mistake we can sure fix it; bring it in so we can take a look," I got a condescending, "we installed them correctly, look up some YouTube videos on how to use them; they're not your ordinary tunning pegs. You're just not using them correctly!"
Initially after the call I took the pacific approach and considered the possibility that I was doing something wrong. Yet I felt frustrated because this didn't make any sense considering that I am a professional musician and have been playing the guitarron for over 20 years.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and looked up some you tube videos and the more I looked up, I became irritated to have even considered the pegs were installed correctly. I knew as soon as I tried tunning that they were installed incorrectly.
I decided to drive back 80 miles and took the Guitarron to get the pegs changed (top to bottom and bottom to top). As the guys was changing them he insisted that I was wrong. Nonetheless, after he was done following my instructions, the tunning pegs worked perfectly.
This place has the potential to be a 5/5 shop but they definitely need to work on listening to their customers (especially when they are clearly in the wrong). Their responses were really unprofessional and they came off as plain arrogant and inconsiderate. Unfortunately, I never plan to be back. read more
