Went in with a fellow friend to look into a Gibson. Spent about 30 minutes playing it and comparing to other Martins. Was told the mask policy was in place - fair enough - we all had masks. About 15 minutes go by and ONE of our face garters slipped to the chin (the one who was playing). We were told to leave the store entirely. I understand COVID has strict regulations and I understand the complications to getting sick. We are all healthcare workers looking for a nice afternoon out, and make a nice purchase. But this employee came in and falsely stated that he "told us multiple times" to put a face mask on (when we all had masks on but one). Also stated that since we "cannot respect the rules; we have to leave". What???? I understand leaving the confines of the playing room. But to have every single person in our party of 3 to leave because we are disrespectful is a bit extreme. We politely apologized and left - only to be met with more comments about how we don't respect their rules. Shame. Overall we took our business elsewhere, somewhere that doesn't treat their customers like trash and jump to conclusions. read more

Upon entering you were instructed to use hand sanitizer, which we obeyed; while wearing face masks. We then went to examine some of the acoustic guitars in the sound room; while wearing masks. One guest's mask fell down a total of two times. The first time it was down the short, wide-set, rapunzel-like long hair, (I assume) male worker instructed us to make sure the masks stay on. The second time the mask fell down he promptly came in and commanded very rudely that because we can't respect their wishes we are being forced to leave the building. At no point were they being disrespected. That is absolutely ridiculous that it was taken as a personal attack. Do NOT recommend going into this place with individuals that can't tolerate adult life. read more

When I called Mr. Steward, he was familiar with the problem and sent out Jason, a former Sears appliance repairman. Jason pulled out the damaged part and spent some time trying to find a replacement part. He was finally able to locate a repair business in Austin that rebuilt the part plus a 2-year guarantee. Jason returned and replaced the refurbished part, and the oven works like new. As a new oven would cost several thousand dollars, I was pleased with the cost and the great service. Mr. Steward also gives first responders, Veterans and the military a 10% discount. I highly recommend Steward Appliance repair and will use them in the future if needed. Lanny Brown
