You saw funds drop into your consignor account after selling something? Great . . oh, but you might see the very same item on their in-house online selling account, and at a higher price than your item was "sold" for. No point in asking what's going on, because there are no answers, just deflection, deflection. When you finally give up on consigning, as I did, and ask very politely for the funds from your last sale, expect to receive nothing. Because "you don't have enough in your account so you'll have to ask the owner". Ask the owner for the funds from my own consigned items, but "it's unlikely he'll make an exception"? It's an interesting business model, I grant you that! For me, another hard lesson learned! If you're shopping for bargains, it will only benefit you. If you want to turn over a few of your nice things- nope!

Was interested in consigning... both times, speaking with her over the phone to get an idea of what she was looking for; and when I brought in some things, She never stopped talking! And I mean she NEVER STOPPED TALKING. After the phone conversation, I thought.... will she be accommodating and be a person that could work well with my things on consignment...? I decide to give it a try. When I went to drop off, the motor mouth started again and did not stop until she scrutinized the clothing, accessory and shoes. When I managed to get a word in edgewise, she repeated the same thing over and over, like I was stupid and didn't either understand or hear her the firs 5 times she said it. I agreed to consign, believing the clothing etc. would be on the selling floor either that day or next. After a week, I thought it might be a good thing to check to see if anything sold. When I arrived, she was deep in conversation with a "looky loo".... I asked about the things and immediately she went into a tirade saying that she told me the things would not be out on the selling floor either bcoz they were spring..... huh? Why would I consign and leave my possessions over to her to be put " wherever she wanted"....? And not to be sold on the selling floor???? Either she's completely crazy or she took me a fool... When I asked why she didn't tell me this... she raised her voice, became belligerent and kept repeating " they're spring items, they are spring things....over and over". When I saw and heard her attitude with me, I raised my voice also and said why would I leave my things with you and not be out for possible sale/s. She did not appreciate me questioning her, bcoz she's such a controlling individual so I asked for all my things back immediately. Upon leaving her overstocked, cluttered, messy environmen, and a poor excuse for a consignment shop, I let her know she's a rude, insulting, nasty person who obviously feels the deep need to act obnoxious... toward a "potential client" ! So glad I did not give her any of my business... I have consigned before... many times in the neighborhoods of Needham, Norwell and Brookline. Avoid this person and place if you can......Terrible owner!!

But in the last couple years, everything's gone downhill. The furniture isn't just "gently used" anymore - it's flat-out DIRTY! I could even deal with that if they'd lower prices, but the staff's attitude is the real problem. Service quality varies between stores, but Hanover (my old favorite) has gotten terrible. I do NOT recommend shopping here. I'll sum it up by saying some of the staff are a little too outspoken and mean-spirited in front of customers. The last time, ever, I shopped at FCG was very uncomfortable. This store's management needs to remember that customers have ears.

I just walked in and did a quick scan inside. They have a bunch of different brands here ranging at different price points, from J Crew to Miu Miu & Chanel. I like the way they organized the clothes, reminds me of shops you would find in SoHo. All of the dresses, tops, and bags are towards the entrance, front of the store and pants, shoes, and alteration pick up/drop off is in the back of the store. They also offer gently used athleisure, including brands such as Lululemon, AloYoga, and more for decent prices. From just looking around and doing a quick scan of a few pieces, they seem to set the items at a reasonable price honestly. Consigning your clothes with Convet is a nice way to sell your clothes without having to bother with apps like Poshmark or Depop. I believe you can walk in any time from 11-3pm Mon-Fri with no more than 25 items (can bring more than 25 items if schedule an appt on the weekend). From there, they set the price for your item to sell & if it sells, you can get 40% of the profit & 50-60% for designer brands paid out via Venmo/check if balance is over $150 & cash if under the amount. Thought that was pretty interesting; definitely a cool consignment spot to check out. I would totally come back again to either consign my clothes or look for pieces to add to my closet!

I was able to find a really cute pair of shoes and a cute bag. I have also been gifted beautiful bags from this shop in the past. They have a wide range of prices, so you do have to pay attention to what you're buying and think about adding a tax. The store also doesn't typically offer discounts, but I have noticed that for an item that might need repair they do have flexibility. The employees are also very kind, flexible, and informative. Overall I would recommend this shop to those who love shopping for vintage clothing and accessories and I look forward to browsing here again.
