The Director, Mrs. Michelle, was so lovely, welcoming and patient. She answered numerous questions about the school, programs and enrollment process despite not having an appointment. She even was able to accommodate an in-person tour the following day. The next day we arrived for our in-person tour (during COVID). Mrs. Michelle met us at the door and had a personalized greeting sign for us when we walked in. By the end of the tour, we were so impressed by the school, teachers and staff that we proceeded to enroll our son on-site. The facility isn't the newest, but the teachers and staff were so respectful and attentive with the children - we even noticed that they greet and say goodbye to EVERY child by name which just shows how involved they are. Our son is now six months and has been loving the program. If you are considering them, I'd recommend giving them a try. Admittedly the Yelp and Facebook reviews made me slightly nervous. However, they are older and don't do justice to the school now under new leadership.

When I called it out they said I was "making stuff up" and that "all parents don't complain" but I saw the front desk lady give the teacher a LOOK as if warning her to stop because I was watching her. Ask your child themselves about this incident because I see now why they refuse to have cameras inside the classrooms and outside the play area, this is a very BIG RED FLAG. And your children's safety is not something to bargain with. I will be reporting this to the state as well. They became very hostile once I told them I did not want to enroll my toddler due to the lack of cameras and they claimed it was "parents" who requested all cameras to be removed from their centers but that one incident was enough for me to understand why they truly have it like that. I'm really hoping this reach is his parents because behavior like this is extremely concerning from a teacher dealing with children.

Sugar Creek Montessori has not adjusted the tuition for the time the school has been closed (two weeks now). They have charged parents for the normal curriculum which includes full time staff and materials but are only providing "ONLINE TEACHING" which should be offered at a discount. Some of us are out of work or have reduced incomes. Others are trying to manage the demands of working from home while taking care of our kids. I've sent multiple emails regarding a refund or at least a credit and all I get is a generic response "Thank you for your feedback". I have tried calling, but I of course do not get an answer. Understand, I am not giving you my feedback I need an answer! Your policy is "NO PRORATION FOR SICKNESS AND/OR VACATION", however, this is not a vacation, this is an unfortunate situation the world has encountered so all I am asking for is for fairness and my tuition to be valued at the product I am getting or lack of product to be honest. My child has been at this school for 2 years now and has enjoyed his time there. His teachers are great and he loves them very much. We have never had any issues prior to this situation, but at this point I feel the need to complain and voice my frustration with the administration. I have called around to check other schools policies and I am astonished to find out that 2 owners of two well known Montessori schools are discounting the tuition due to this pandemic situation without hesitation. The learning habits she formed at MHFC made her successful and middle school and now in high school.
