The entire staff is wonderful and didn't look for more than needed. I was in and out on time and the hygienist was wonderful.

My appointment at Anderson ENT was one of the worst medical experiences in my many decades on this…read moreearth, as follows. To start with, I was subjected to a full one-hour in a closed "waiting" room with no one checking on me. When no one appeared, I opened the door, looked up-and-down the hallway and neither saw nor heard any sign of human life. I walked back to the receptionist who gave me the standard "the doctor will be with you in a few minutes." Back at the waiting room, the doctor and an unknown woman-in-white appeared within 2 minutes: I felt as though I had been forgotten. Neither one of them greeted me or introduced themselves: Oddly, the observing woman was never introduced although she certainly was distant and an unpleasant, brooding presence. The doctor was brusque, impersonal, was not a 'listener', and with no apparent concern for 'bedside manner'. When he asked a question, he did not respond and seemed to have not read all of the information I had given the receiving nurse (who also never introduced herself). I felt like I was a bother to all of them. He did not ask me to lie on the examining table but was more of a blunt order. When he asked me to roll my head to the side, I asked him to wait a minute because I was feeling dizzy due to the reclining movement (associated with my ear problem). Instead, he pushed my head to the position he wanted, causing an additional sense of nausea. He did that hand-on-head again when he wanted me to turn in the opposite direction. He apparently had no regard for what I was feeling. Then, with no warning, he began to probe my ear... He hurt me! Not once, but several times as he statedly tried to remove wax from my ear with a probe of some sort. Each time he stuck me, I flinched and/or told him he was hurting me: He had no comment but continued to jab me with his instrument. After a dozen, or so, painful probes, I told him "This has to stop". He stopped, but rather than saying he was sorry that he hurt me, he coldly said he did not know my ear was "so sensitive." That was it; he was done. Nothing accomplished. Nothing was accomplished except for what I consider the Auschwitz treatment. I was abruptly referred to Greenville ENT, and an Otologist, with the possible skill to address my ear issue, which was now more painful than when I had arrived. The doctor left the room with no pleasantry that would normally be expected of a professional physician. I am appalled and disappointed that Anderson ENT was in my opinion a dreadful experience, and I would recommend going to a more humane doctor.

Do not go to this facility! I am warning you. The doctors are not thorough at all. When I went back to tell him about my new symptoms and get a better diagnosis they wanted to charge me more. I felt like I was at a car repair shop instead of a Doctor's office. Avoid at all cost!!
