I recently had breast surgery and then had to have a second surgery! It was the most horrible thing that I have ever been through in my life! Dr McFadden was so uncaring as he removed the stitches. I would like to share that I have always had the best results at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery. The front desk ladies are very nice and professional as well as they represent the clinic with their aesthetic appearance that you would expect in this type of office. Every member of Dr. McFadden's staff have been friendly as well as professional and knowledgeable. Now on to Dr. Tom McFadden and Dr. Peter Felice, they are two of the nicest physicians I have ever met. Their knowledge and skills are exceptional. I have been to other "top-notch" plastic surgeons in NC never being as quite as satisfied and proud of my results as here at ACS. Ashley Burel micro bladed my eyebrows and they are flawless. I no longer wear daily makeup and always get compliments about how beautiful my skin and face look. The next procedure on my wish list is to get high definition liposuction to my abdomen and back. I have to sing the praises of Dr. McFadden. It was 8yrs ago I first visited this office for breast augmentation. I had the best experience (and results) before, during, and now 8yrs after - still with zero complications (knock on wood). I see Abby here for Botox injections for my migraines. She is so sweet and knowledgeable. I was fearful of getting a "frozen" appearance as I'm in my late 20's, and she made sure that didn't happen. She did an initial round of injections, then had me come back after they had set in the first visit before doing more to see how I would react to it. Everyone's face is different, and one side may take more than the other, so I really appreciated this extra step in ensuring that I was well taken care of and not "overdone". It's been months now and several visits later, I can truly say Botox has been a lifesaver. I used to be on RX migraine medication and refused to go back on them, this was my last result and I couldn't be more thankful I made that decision. I had double earlobe repair. Dr. McFadden is a skilled plastic surgeon. He is detail-orientated, accurate, performs the procedure with care and minimal pain. The end result is undetectable. My earlobes were my first and only cosmetic procedure but, if I ever ventured out, I would place full trust in him. I took away 2 stars because unfortunately, the office is poorly managed. I experienced issues with scheduling and billing that left much to be desired. Update: The office manager contacted me. She mentioned that Dr. McFadden read my review. Initially she mostly expressed frustration with my opinion regarding poor management, although she did acknowledge that my concerns were valid and related to recent on-boarding. All the same I appreciate having the opportunity to provide examples of issues I experienced over multiple visits and their commitment to address those concerns going forward. In the past I have seen my Dermatologist primarily for Botox. While they are great there, they do not participate in the Botox rewards program so I have been looking elsewhere (see my review of Back To 30 and why I will never go back) This time I chose ACS on the recommendation of a local mom. I did my research on them (Like I should have done at my previous place) and began following them on social media. Bam! Halloween special for two days: Botox $10.50 a unit. That's a nice special when you are used to paying $12 a unit at the Dermatologist or per area at a medical spa. Per area is tricky because an area could just be the line between your nose or one eye and they will put the maximum in forcing you to get the equal amount on the other. Not here! I do not remember the NPs name who administered the Botox. She was super energetic and friendly. She also didn't seem to have a face frozen from too much work. These people were my answer. We discussed my needs and she determined the precise amount of Botox as my Dermatologist office. And she prepared it and injected it. No up sell or oversell. No quick in and out. It was great. The front office staff were very informative and told me how adorable my son is. On that last note; I know it may seem odd to bring your toddler to the doctors office much less to get Botox. But that's what happens when you are a mom and your kid isn't old enough for preschool. I didn't receive even a bad look from a client or staff. But, it would be great to have something for a child to do in such a nice office. It was tough filling out the 5 or 6 pages of paperwork and watching him so he doesn't destroy any fancy skin creams. I realize that clients don't want to watch Elmo but some children's book and a pillow to sit on in the corner can make mom much more relaxed. It's not the Apple store, I realize, but there wasn't even a WiFi password to play music on my ipad for him. He was fine and it's not a big issue; but I do think that a business that likely has a large customer base of women my age, should try to help a little. They won't have Halloween twizzlers to bribe my son next time! read more

I came in to have microblading done. It usually takes 2 appointments to get them the way they should be. I have been in at least 6 times because the work they've done has not lasted. I paid $550 for nothing. My brows look awful now - most pigment has faded except for some harsh lines toward the ends. I can't keep coming back and getting the same disappointing result. The company is no longer responding to my messages. Very disappointed and mislead by this service. read more

I am getting laser hair removal done on my head at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery, and the staff here has been amazing. The receptionist and scheduler are always incredibly friendly, and Ashley has been wonderful and highly competent with the laser. I've shaved my head for a few years now and I've gotten tired of how frequently I have to shave to maintain the bald look -- thanks to Ashley and ACS, I'm well on my way to being completely bald without having to shave all the time. read more

Most of the staff is very friendly and outgoing. However, I did not enjoy my experience. I paid $75 for a "45 min. consult" where I spoke with the Dr. for less than 3 min. I was told that I could have a procedure done in two places. The day of my procedure I was told I only needed it in one area (even tho I paid for it in two areas). This was kind of alarming to me and I felt rushed in my consult and like I was not paid attention to. During my procedure the nurse helping out said "oh shit" several times!! No one told me why she said it but it was very alarming for me! At the end NO ONE went over any post op instructions. I had to call to see if the amount of bleeding was normal. I was given a paper that had them on it at my consult but still expected someone to also go over it with me...I am happy with my results and the $400 was given to me as credit towards something else there but I will not be going back after that and if you have any kind of anxiety whatsoever then I definitely do not recommend this place. read more

I recently had liposuction of the lower extremities... from my thighs to my ankles. I know I have a long way to go, but I can already see the difference. Most of my experiences with the team has been excellent with the exception of some events on the day of the procedure. Maybe I didn't know what I was supposed to ask. Abby was my nurse before the procedure. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. She was so friendly and did everything she could to make me feel comfortable. I've had breast augmentation before at another surgeons office so I knew a little of what to expect. Here's where I think Dr. McFadden's team needs improvement: 1. Allow a patient to refuse to have their before and after photos posted on his website or anywhere else. 2. Fully explain what is going to happen when you head to the operating room and explain who will be in there. I had no idea that !!! NOTHING !!! would be done to preserve my dignity. I was not introduced to the surgical tech. (I think Kimberly) I just didn't feel comfortable with her... she did nothing to help me feel comfortable. I had to walk in the operating room and stand on a pad completely naked w/ my arms out while I was washed from the neck down with betadine. Then, I had to climb on the operating table still completely naked. !!! I KNEW IT WAS NECASSARY & THAT IT WOULD BE EMBARRASSING & I WAS RIGHT !!! However, NO ONE told me this would happen. They just did it. The least they could do is have a U shaped curtain hanging from the ceiling near the operating table for you to stand in to be washed down so that you don't feel so exposed in a huge "cold" room. A patient's dignity should be preserved as much as possible. A patient should not be uncovered until it's absolutely necessary and the patient is asleep. I realize the team needed to be able to flip me during surgery, but I still feel that surgical drapes could have been used from the waist up. It only takes a few minutes to remove a surgical drape, flip the patient, then replace with another sterile surgical drape. There was ABSOLUTELY NO reason for me to be uncovered from the waste up. Everything was done from the thighs down. The last comment is about the anesthesiologist. There should be a sterile drape across the patients neck high enough to block his view of the patient. He only needs to see the patient's head. There is no need to embarrass the patient more with him sitting there completely open while you get on the table with nothing on. I guess my biggest complaint is that nobody explained that part to me. It was very demeaning. I had breast augmentation and it was nothing like that. read more

Please, do your homework and talk with other plastic surgeons, before you use Dr. McFadden. I so regret ever letting him touch my face. My lower face lift is uneven, even after a revision, which happened on a recliner in a waiting room. The surgery suite was taken, even after Laura rescheduled my surgery appointment. Scars behind my ears are way too long, scars in front of my ears are too far away from ear lobes. I'm in pain around my ears when I bent down for longer, after almost a year. Dr. McFadden blames me for not following up with a resurfacing laser. I have seen other plastic surgeons since to get second opinions. Per second opinions, a resurfacing laser is not a substitute for a poor lower face lift. A surgeon in NC will redo and hopefully relieve my pain. I have contacted Dr. McFadden's office to ask for a refund. Instead, he fired me from his office. Blaming the patient is always the poorest but easiest way-out for a plastic surgeon. read more

I first was recommended to Dr. McFadden about five years ago from a well trusted friend. I had excess skin on my upper eyelids that made me look and feel sleepy all the time. After the very first consultation with Dr. McFadden, I knew I was in good hands. From the moment I walked in his office and was greeted by his staff I felt comfortable and at ease. During the consultation, it was apparent that Dr. McFadden was most concerned that I was comfortable with the procedure and the results. The procedure was done perfectly and the results were stunning! I should add that it was much less expensive than I had anticipated as well. I have since been using Advanced Cosmetic Surgery for my skin care and non-evasive procedures to help make me look and feel years younger! I had a jaw lift with Dr. McFadden! He market the area, I was awake during the procedure! He had me take oxi and valium just before the procedure. At one point during the cutting part, his nurse said twice, your going past the line Doc!! I had to return the next day to be drained the swelling was so bad. The next day, I collapsed and stoped breathing. My husband call 911 and they didc pr and brought me back. The ambulance brought me to the hospital, did all kind of test and found nothing. The Dr. told my husband I could go home! I stood up and stopped breathing again, I was intubated for twenty hours. My husband went to Dr. McFadden's office to get another chin strap, they refused to give it to him, it was taken off my chin as they intubated me. My children flew down to Greenville, from N.Y. because they said I might not make it. When my daughter got here she went to the office and demanded they give her a chin strap for me. No one to this day can figure out why this happened to me! The staff at the Dr.'s office knew what occurred, but no one from that office ever called too see if I even survived. I went back to have stitches taken out and again told my story, to this day, not one staff member or Dr. McFadden ever reached out! We people like this looking after you, I would NEVER recommend this office for ANYTHING!!! They obviously don't much care about the patient, just the money!!!! read more
