We have ordered form Guest Wok probably 30 times and will keep ordering. If you want Chinese (Canadian) food you will like this place. I have been to many Chinese places and this is the best so far. All the food is fresh and tastes great. We have tried so many dishes and don't think you will find a dish you won't like. Just all over amazing food and great portion sizes for the price and makes for great leftovers

I am absolutely appalled at the way we were treated at this place of business this evening. We ordered food for a family of five - 7 dishes total. When the order was placed and confirmed online through the Guest Wok website the confirmation stated our order would be delivered within 30 minutes. We placed our order early, having three children under the age of 5. After waiting for 45 minutes we called to check on the status of our order. We were told that they "were very busy tonight," and that the "timing on the website is wrong." We asked for an update on our order and were told it wasn't even finished being made yet, and that if we were unhappy with how long it took they didn't care if we just cancelled our order. Throughout the conversation we were nothing but polite and respectful yet were met with raised voices, talking over us, rudeness and disrespect. To say I was shocked by the tone of voice, language and volume I was met with on the phone is an understatement. Our food arrived more than an hour after being ordered (twice the expected delivery time), we were still charged full price as well as delivery fee, and we will most definitely NOT be returning to this establishment. In my opinion the best Chinese take out in orangeville, highly recommended. Take out is fast and staff friendly.

If your looking for large portions, quick device and fair prices, look no further! ;) I don't eat this very often, heavy sauce, etc (not healthy!) but a nice treat. read more

Love it here. This is my go to place when I need takeout. Chinese food is my absolute favourite, and they definitely know what they're doing. So angry. I am a pescatarian and haven't eaten meat in almost two years. I do eat fish, so I ordered the jumbo shrimp with lobster sauce, which was also on the seafood menu and was so angry to find out that it was actually just shrimp in a pork sauce. I don't know what kind of idiot puts that on the seafood menu AND doesn't mention anywhere that it has pork in it, when it is quite literally almost all pork. This is so disrespectful to customers with dietary restrictions and really really not ok. read more

Guest Wok - 10$ what a steal! - Chinese Near Me - Orangeville, Ontario

Been buying their food for about 20 years and always considered it the best chinese in town. Always tipped the driver well. A few years back they implemented a mandatory delivery charge on top of the tip we're expected to give. They said this was to help the drivers to make up for the slow periods.......uh, that's not a problem that needs to be solved with my wallet. That's for the restaurant to work out with their drivers. Fine, we just started to pick up our orders instead of delivery. For 20 years I've watched the prices go up and up and up and up.........and still bought their food. The latest price increase has come during this pandemic and I'll assume they're going to say that it's to make up for money lost due to the pandemic. This is a business that remained open for take-out and really shouldn't have seen much of an effect during all this. In contrast, our household has most definitely taken a financial hit so we have to be more careful where we spend it. The latest increase has put the cost for our normal order to between $50 - $60. Keep in mind we can go to a real restaurant for that kind of money and have a proper meal brought to us by a waitress while we sit in a nice booth and have a couple of drinks aswell.......or we can buy take-out chinese. Do you see the problem here? My wife is blatantly refusing to patronize Guest Wok anymore and I'm completely on board with it. So, basically they've lost 2 customers because they're greedy. Clearly the best Chinese food in Orangeville! It's very reasonably priced, very fast(never as long as they say) very friendly, menu has something for everybody(I am gluten free & I can eat there) Food quality & quantity is amazing! I have never had one single piece of fat or chewy meat in my whole life. I'd say one of the best Chinese food places in Ontario! It's a weekly eat! Never have we had an issue with this place previously however, on the 23rd of December we call in to pre-order for pick up Christmas Eve at 5:30 pm thinking this would give ample time to get our order ready. Well, at 5:40 pm we were told they were a half hour behind, understandable Christmas Eve and all, over an hour later we were told "we somehow have misplaced your order, it will be another hour and a bit" at this time we cancel our order and go home and make Kraft dinner for our family's Christmas eve dinner. Get a call telling us our now cancelled order is ready at 8:42 pm! Called the restaurant today to speak with a Manager and didn't even receive an apology. Basically was told it was busy and not his concern. If they don't care about ruining their customers Christmas dinner than we will no longer be giving our business to them. Read the other reviews and couldn't believe it was the same restaurant. Mind you...They were older reviews. This was horrible food!Had a large order delivered for a little family dinner at the Avalon Care Home. My mother who is a resident orders regularly from them so it really upset me to know she's been eating this. The order arrived promptly but it was basically inedible. The Cantonese chow mein was really just noodles. The orange chicken was the worst. Everyone tried it and politely spit it out. We ended up throwing it out. There was so much food colouring in the sweet and sour sauce that when some sauce spilled on my fingers ... It stained. Same with the Orange sauce. The deep fried chicken balls and deep fried shrimp were okay but everything else was a complete waste of money. I will be looking for a new Chinese food place for my mother to order from. Haven't had Guest Wok food in a few years. Decided to order it again because we remember it being good. Well it isn't very good anymore. There was very little flavour, seemed bland and the meat was sketchy in 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered. We won't be ordering from there anymore. read more

picked up my order New Years eve at 5.00pm order was stone cold ,not sure how long it had been sitting out but my pick up time was 5.00,the food was micro waved but didnt improve anything as it didnt taste the same, ruined our New Years eve party ,food went into the garbage,so i wasted $83.00 will never go back to this place again read more

They have really good Chinese take out only. My only complaint is that they are SO busy you must order well in advance. Call in your order if it is near meal time and make sure you allow a lot of extra time. My only complaint is that the ordering is very slow. Many times I have been placed on hold for such a long time that I have hung up. The staff manning the front counter and phones are usually young people who are not well trained in handling the crowdy meal time rush. But it is the best Chinese in Orangeville. read more
