I tried to swap all the light switches to smart switches myself and oh boy was I doing things wrong, I did something wonky and made the top floor power dead. I panicked because family members (elders) will have trouble, and it was getting dark out. I messaged a lot of companies and hoped for the best. From all the companies I contacted, Electric All responded within 10 mins to my message (Via Yelp). (Note: others responded between 1 hour to 3 hours, they all had a good response time, but in the eyes of a panicking homeowner, vigilance matters; some even indicated that they can come next week) I got in touch with Sammy, and even though he was done for the day, (It was on a weekend), he came all the way to me from home. -- Let me say this as a Side note; THAT itself shows dedication. I was glad and feeling better that someone is interested at looking at the mess that I got myself into! Once Sammy got here, he got right into it, he taught me what I was doing was on the right track and gave me insights on how I could have done it. Seriously, this guy is not only pleasant and a family man, but he is teaching me as well? Yes please! I love to learn! Why don't we have more like him in this world? Amazing ability of workmanship and explanation. The way he talks about his profession and what he is doing, giving me ideas on what to expect along the way and how my home wiring actually works compared to other types. I was amazed. He showed great passion on what he does, and he does it well. This guy is a Jedi Master Electrician. 5/5 Stars because Yelp doesn't allow me to give anything higher. (Like 100 out of 5 would show my experience rating) Not only am I impressed but his pricing was reasonable for the work he did. Some quoted me less some quoted me more. I am happy with the price he provided me. He also told me the price before he even got here, there we no surprises. Also, my final bill was higher than what he originally quoted, because I asked him to take care of the rest of the switches (There was like 12 total), I at this point just wanted someone like him to do it right the first time. So that's totally on me for giving him extra work, and even then he charged me less than what it came up to. You give me a high class experience, I asked you to do more work even though you should be home with family and you still give me a break on the price? Love you man! In the end of his visit, he gave me pointers on my next project (Nest Thermostat) and how to do it myself. His focus was for me to get things done, not to take my money. I love his attitude and I love his humble appreciation of the work he does. He said I can ask him to come by but I should try it first and learn from it. This review might be too long, but he genuinely is just awesome (as a person and professionally) and words alone can't express enough of it.

Sammy came over tonight (Sunday evening) and not only found the cut wires... but also showed me how the outdoor power was corroded and not working due to water condensation. Sammy replaced the outdoor boxes, taught me how to protect my home and check my boxes monthly, and fixed everything!! Thank you for coming Sammy!! On Monday (Jan 31) we noticed that our HVAC system was leaking, flooding our basement. We called…read morethis company who had previously installed the HVAC system. The old owner used this company prior to us buying the house in 2020. The technician who came to repair the HVAC said the issue was that the condensation pump was broken and placed a new pump. After installing the new pump he found that the condensation drain led outside the house and into the garden. The cause of the issue was that the condensation drain, which should have never been installed leading outside, had frozen, backed up the pump and caused the pump to break. He said our only option was to get a new line installed but we'd have to pay to have a new line installed, despite the fact that this company had ran the previous line, that had broken the previous pump, flooding our basement. He left our 'fixed' pump with the condenser going into a bucket. We paid $500 for this service. The next day (Tuesday 1st) we called to speak to the manager and spoke to Rhonda who said she didn't think having a new line installed was a unreasonable ask, but she needs to confirm with the owner and would call us back in half an hour. It's now Friday (Feb 4th) both me and my husband have called back multiple times to ask whats going on and have been told multiple times that the owner and manager are both too busy, the receptionist would leave a message for them to call us back. I asked if I could book a meeting or some time with either of them and was told that wouldn't be possible but she would again leave them a message to call us back. We're absolutely appalled by the customer service of this company. This company originally ran the line outside that cause the flooding in our basement that we've now had to make an insurance claim over. We can't use the $300 pump that they installed because if we did the exact same thing would happen. Asking for the company to rerun a line, is not an unreasonable ask considering the damage that has been done to the basement and the results we've been left with from the service. We have absolutely no idea why anyone would run a line that carries water, outside, in Canada where, it will freeze... If you're looking for a company to conduct good workmanship, good communication and customer service, please look somewhere else.

We called ClimateCare and got a quote for installation and 10 years maintenance (Parts & labour) that was cheaper than sticking with Reliance. And we asked for fall checkup on the furnace while they are on site. They threw that in for free. The installers were quick and efficient without any little extra charges for replacing the gas shutoff, etc. During the furnace checkup, they discovered that our thermostat no longer worked on the heat setting so it got swapped out free of charge. He saved the day for us…read more Our heat went down and after several phone calls only Gasko would come out to take a look at our situation at 11:00 on a bitterly cold night. There diagnosis, the chimney was blocked and we would need a new chimney liner. In the meantime both the heating boiler and the hot water heater would have to be shut down because we were in an unsafe situation. They recommended we call our service provider (Reliance Heating) out in the morning to see what could be done about a solution. So Thursday morning I called Reliance and several chimney sweeps too - one sweep arrived and their solution? We can help you in mid-January. Reliance came not once but twice - 1st guy said, your chimney's clogged and you'll have to get it un-clogged - thanks, and here's our bill. The second guy was more help, he gave me a few suggestions and then placed a call to a guy he thought might be able to help? I heard him describing the problem to this guy on the phone and then he said, "oh, you know about this problem"? It was Phil from Gasko. Phil came back this morning with a 40 ft. rented ladder and a new liner. With his 70 year old Dad holding the ladder, he removed the old liner, the squirrel debris, re-installed a new liner and turned the heat back on. Best service ever!!!!
