We've been having some issues with getting a new policy when State Farm decided not to renew us for the audacity of actually filing a claim due to water damage. Who knew that using your insurance when you needed it, made you a pariah. Believe it or not, this action is legal according the CA insurance commission - I have a few less than kind words for them. We figured our premiums would go up, it never occurred to us that insurance companies have the right not to insure you at all. Anyway, during the frantic 6 week search for new insurance I contacted many direct insurance agencies and brokers. By the time I called Chris, we had 1 possible option and I was just doing my due diligence since I knew nothing about the company who was willing to issue us insurance. I told Chris that and he still put in the time and effort to look for an alternative, as well as gave us some assurances about the reputation of the company who gave us an offer.
