When I lost my employment, I signed up because I knew I would not be able to make my payments. I thought it was the responsible thing to do. My payments are every 2 weeks - 26 payments in a year. For 3 months of the year, there would be 3 payments instead of 2. I could do it until I needed to go on disability in September. I called and asked if I could make just one payment each month. I gave them the amounts and did the basic math. Example: payments of $200 every two weeks would be $200 X 26 (weeks) = $5,200. Divide by 12 would be $433.33 each month. They said they would get back to me within 5-7 business days. When I was not called back, I called. Just before all this started, they had called and asked if I could increase my payments because of a settlement offer I would need to pay an extra $35. I had said no. When I called back, they wanted me to pay a little under $40 extra. I said no. No calls, no emails, no nothing. I sent messages, called, said I would be suspending payments. Still nothing. I called my bank and suspended the payments, well in advance. The day the payment was to come out, I got a call and an email. Too late. The excuse I kept getting was, "We don't pay by the year". No duh. Not one of the employees could do basic math. read more

In Nov. 2023, I enrolled in Guardian's debt settlement program. I was not informed that attorney fees would be deducted from settlements, which I consider the first misrepresentation. The most serious issue involved my Wells Fargo account. In July 2025, Wells Fargo withdrew about $2,200 from my savings after obtaining a judgment on a debt I believed Guardian was handling. I later learned my case was neglected after an attorney left. From Dec. 2024 to July 2025, no one followed up regarding settlement efforts or a lawsuit 2nd misrepresentation. The case went to court in June 2025 without representation, despite my understanding that Guardian's legal team would handle it. As a result, the judge ruled for Wells Fargo, adding about $1,000 in legal fees to my nearly $10,000 balance. Wells Fargo was then able to seize funds from my account, and my wages were nearly garnished before I settled the debt myself. When I requested accountability, Guardian offered only $320 and stated they would not charge fees on my remaining Capital One accounts. However, I later discovered they had already charged me $356 for a Capital One settlement, despite previously stating fees would not be collected until final payment, 3rd misrepresentation. Guardian also claimed they only agreed to waive fees on the Wells Fargo account and one Capital One account, even though they never settled the Wells Fargo debt, I did that on my own. I canceled the program and requested a refund. Since Aug. 2025, I have repeatedly been told I would receive the promised $320 refund, but I am still waiting. Last time I tried talking to someone they tried to talk circles around me thinking I was a fool to believe anything they said. They said they weren't able to resolve my debt which is why it went to court instead of acknowledge what one of their lawyers already confirmed that my case fell through the cracks because the lawyer originally assigned to my case quit. Don't believe them for anything, they look for desperate people to fall for their schemes. read more

They need to work on their follow up. They don't value you as a client. At first, they showed you what they can do and then it goes down the hills with the rest of your accounts....especially your last account. Monthly follow ups happens when it's convenient to them. They took 6 cards, settled with 3 (one at a time), and after 2 years still have not settled with the other 3. Increased payout by $95/month after settling with the 3rd, and while I was informed at start this would all be paid in 3 years, that time has now been added on to with the settlement of the 3rd. Couldn't have paid them regardless, but if it takes 10 years to pay them then bankruptcy and 10 years of saving will put you in a better position than this. read more

Signed up in August 2025. Started out okay but has gone downhill since then. 10 various debts. Previously scammed out of $$$$ which left me in a terrible financial situation. 73 years old, retired, limited SSA & small retirement. Only settled 3 of the debts. One has 24 payments remaining, one other has 3 payments remaining. This program started out very well for me. I had 3 accounts that they worked on. First 2 settled without any issue. The 3rd decided to sue. (not Guardian's fault) It was being "negotiated" for over a year. the only settlement offer that was made was absurd and if I could have afforded that settlement I wouldn't have been in this position in the first place. This is where everything went sideways. My attorney reached out at one point and mentioned there was supposed to be court that day but they "didn't have it on their calendar" but were able to get the date postponed. Now I'm concerned. about 6 months later and I had just received a settlement for a car accident and I'm in a position to actually take a settlement offer even if its a bit high. I hear nothing for 2 months and then all of a sudden I see my bank account had $7,500 withdrawn from it. I immediately start calling Guardian to find out what is going on and I continue to do so for 3+ weeks just getting the run around and "we'll have someone get in touch with you" Finally I get a phone call from the attorney and she proceeds to tell me Whoopsie, we missed your court date! Wasn't on our calendar! They made judgement against you! They also tried to convince me that them not showing up for court probably made no difference. Right! My lawyer being present and defending me wouldn't have helped at all! I went from negotiating down a $5,000 debt to having $7,500 taken from me and all i from them was an "oops, my bad!" Signed on with Guardian Dec. 2024, have received only 1 monthly check up call which to me is not an issue. What is the issue is when I was counseled on signing up that with in 6 months of good payments that Guardian would set me up with lenders for a loan for the total amount owed to be negotiated for final settlement. Was told via phone call that I do not qualify and no reasoning of the decision was given. Every time I speak with someone from Guardian the language barrier is terrible, to the point that I will not ask them to repeat themselves for the 3rd time. A business that handles debt of serious matters you would think that the employees that they hire can speak clear, audible English. I have asked to speak with a supervisor Aug 2025 and I received no calls but my file has a note that an attempt was made to contact me. I have also asked numerous times that all communication is to be in an email for the purpose to keep in a file, still no emails. Did I make a big mistake choosing Guardian litigation?? I have asked one last time for a supervisor to call me on 9/8/2025. PLEASE NO MORE TEXTS, EMAILS ONLY ESPECIALLY WHEN SENDING SCHEDULES OF WITHDRAWS FROM MY BANK, which I have always made...July 2025 they withdrew money from my account 7/3/2025 then again 7/30/2025. I asked for an update status on all accounts, the person I spoke with said they couldn't answer that. I asked for someone who could to call me back, they never did. Spoke to several people and no one could answer my questions. Next thing I knew, I was sent a cancellation letter for "refusing to communicate". Now they are still refusing to send any records of what payments have been made. Oh the best part? One of my questions was "why am I paying you guys more than what my debt was? You said I would be saying money but it looks like I'll end up paying more than double of what the debts were." That was the last question I asked before they sent a cancellation letter. Now I'm out thousands of dollars that went to them and nothing they said they would do is done and they are fighting the dispute charges with my bank and saying I authorized payments. Payments only authorized upon service. There's been no service done. They lie and cheat you. I'm not sure how there's so many good reviews. I was told I would be out of the program with good credit in 2 years... my credit score was a 780 when I started. I had a lot of debt I wanted to consolidate... but instead of consolidating they put me in a program that said they would lower my interest... and in 2 year I'll be debt free and my credit would come back up. Instead I'm in a 48 month program. My credit score has been ripped apart.. it looks like i abandoned my debt and never paid or try to attempt to pay for the 1st 90 days. 2 out of 3 of my debts is paid off but their still taking 530 out of my account and was told they would for the next 2 years...I've been with this program since 2022... instead of helping me they have made this a complete nightmare... read more

I have been a member of this company since Jan. 2020. Fast forward to today. I was told I was graduating from the program and to look for a phone call saying so. I felt great because I thought I was finally done with the debt. Three years of $486 monthly payments were over. I waited a full month for this phone call and I decided to call to find out what's going on. Mind you I kept checking the savings account to watch say $0 which indicates the debt is paid in full. How about I'm met with a bunch of bullsh-- saying I owe an additional $250 and they are still making monthly installments on the accounts that I had left. I was told that I couldn't pay on an account because in order to close it faster and the full amount was needed. I spoke to a rep and we did the numbers and I scheduled the draft from my account to be done with it all. Of course it was fees and another rep requested that I have the reduction in those fees and during another phone call another rep told me I was approved and will be receiving a call in 24hrs to close everything out. A letter was to be written to request the amount to be paid in full and it was a process. So I was patient and waited and all the while I'm distracted in paying off my other bills. Here we are 2wks before Christmas and I'm still dealing with the same thing. The current rep I spoke to today, basically told me the exact opposite of what I told from the other reps. Accounts are still open, active, and fees are still accruing!!! How much patience am I suppose to have at this point?! I'm being milked. A whole month they let go by without a phone call, text, or email to update me on the status of my account. I can't even describe how I feel. They always say they are going to call back and they never do. I'm calling them back to get this settled once and for all. If they have the money to pay in full, why continue to make installments? Each transaction they make with the creditor, it's a cost. Not fair and it's not right and I can't WAIT to be done with this company. I gave a good review when they drafted the $2500 out of my to add to the additional monies that was in there before. I thought I was soon done. I was told that I broke even and now I'm not. I gave up my entire check to end this and they are still playing games with my money and my emotions. On top of that, they still drafted the $486 after I was told I was done and the money wouldn't come out of my account anymore. Then told me I had to wait 7-10 BUSINESS days to get my money back. I had to raise hell to get my money back in a couple of days. They connected me to the people who handles the money and I got my money that Friday when I was expecting it that Monday. My question is, why would the rep make me wait for my money when she could've connected me to right people in the first place. They overdrafted my account, went into my rent money, money I give my parents every month and other bills I had to pay. If I was a passive person, my rent would've been late because of their mistake. I was advised that once I paid off the debt I would only to have to pay fees of additional $2000 or so. I paid the final payment on August 15th 2024 but they would continue to draft from my account for another 19 months of $435.10 which is another $8300 on top of the $2600 in fees I have already paid for the past 30 months. The debt consolidated was less than $10,000. The fees are now total over $10800 which are MORE than the original debt! I've reached out but no response. I also don't understand why they would offer me a loan to pay off their fees? It's amazing How companies like this is allowed to operate under the disguise of helping consumers but ultimately are just another way to keep people in debt! read more

I needed GLG's help when I had to default on credit card payments in order for my daughter to move in with me. After a year, I changed my circumstances and requested that they pay all of my remaining bills in 1 lump sum. I am STILL asking them to pay my remaining bill in one lump sum. They continue to ask me to make monthly payments. They take the lump sum out of my account yet still send request for monthly payments. I have literally begged on their recorded line to pay off all of my remaining balances so my credit score would improve, and I could afford to buy a house while my daughter still lived with me. Now she's about to head to college, and I STILL can't help her, because I am STILL dealing with GLG to pay off my remaining debt so that my score will improve. I have been patient, I have been nice, and I have been understanding. Nothing has worked. I had to finally reach out to my last debtor myself and pay them off. And now, they want me to pay full price for their program, and the "benefits" they have provided me, when the truth of the matter is that they have robbed me of the ability to provide for my daughter at a time when she needs it. Unless you really have no hope, and only want cheap payments, go ahead and use them at your own peril. If you have ANY ambition, and your goal is to better yourself and your family, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They will hold you back and charge you for the privilege. My husband and I signed a contract with Guardian Litigation January 21,2025. On January 22, 2025 we decided to rescind. The fax number provided did not work. i sent the rescinded form to the office and I also called. I talked to a woman and documented the rescind. She canceled further withdrawals from out account. I updated our mailing address with her. Ten days later we had not received a check. We called the office and was given a tracking number. The check arrived on February 28 to our post office and was returned for insufficient address.. the letter had our name and town and state...no other info. We called the office again and was told address was updated and sent February 28. Today is March 27 and we still do not have a check. We called again and told the address was never updated and each time a new check is issued it cost us....so far it has cost $50. This company has a new excuse every time we call. They are not doing anything with my debts. in seven months they have closed only two credit cards. I was told not to contact my credit card companies and make sure I did not pay any more money to them. Needless to say they have destroyed my credit. I am 76 and will probably never recover. I have asked for detailed updates on all of my accounts and have never received any substantial updates. I am always told they are working on all of them. That cannot be true. I got notified that one of my lenders sold my account and to communicate with the new company as of December 14. I have received offers to settle various account. I have provided them with these written offers to settle. Not one of those lenders have been settle. If there is no significant movement on all of my debt I intend to pursue this both with the BBB and with an attorney. read more

I had the worst experience with this group. I won't go into much detail other than to say you here things like "we were with them every step of the way", we were able to settle these many account," "we informed them of all the possibilities along the way. Truth is, for me, none of that occurred. I had to call and check on progress constantly, after 4 months, one account had not even been touched as the "professional told me, ' "you didn't provide us with the account number to settle it. So after 4 months, I found this out on my own. Had it not been for this revaluation, I probably would have stayed with the program, As you can imagine, I was furious! After numerous calls, and being told "we will expedite this account" After yelling at Charles Ingrin from Acceptance Financial, who also fed me false information, I finally got a hold of my personal account manager who in one phone call ruined this experience even further. If I could share the call on any review platform I would, as he tried to explain why he, Junior Flores, was doing well and I was wrong for being upset. In the end, he told me in so many words "If I would have been paying my bills I would not be in this mess." Yes that's right. This is the professional that this group hires. My credit dropped 100 points through this horrible experience. As consumers, we can do better, we don't them or any quick fix. if I could I'd leave a zero. After being in hospital for a time they said they could stop payments till I got straight. In Nove I canceled was supposedly recorded saying i didn't need any money withdrawn and i verified 3 times with them it would not be for December. Come December I went to pay my light bill to keep kids with heat. It's single digits here in Tennessee. upon getting there I found I had no money. I called they said "oh sorry they understand " but it would take 10 days before I get a paper check in mail. So today I called again to see if it had mailed No it hadn't and yes the done paid themselves so it's not any money left. I'm sitting here fixing to be powerless with kids!!! Of course again "they understand " said I could get what's left. I told them they illegally withdrew money and Ilegally kept half my money after being VERY CLEAR they would not and would reverse immediately after it cleared. They only paid a bare minimum on my account out but each month fees were in big amounts. Out of 466 mo they only pay a business 50 each mo. This is ridiculous! I could have just bite the bullet never got mixed up with this group saying they pay my settlements BEFORE ever taking fees for themselves. I never got bank sta till this mo and that's when I seen how much they really pay the companie I agreed to. If I had every dollar sent back i could paid off my accounts with money left over. DONT go this route. They literally made my crefit worse than it ever was and I'm still being threatene. They don't care as much as they sell you to believe. Now I'm having to get my bank to help to stop this stuff and even a Real lawyer I guess to get them to stop. Easy for them behind keyboard so far away. A loan offer was received and when I called to inquire, they changed it to a debt consolidation program. Said $0 fees. After 3 months and my credit dropping hundreds of points, because they advised me to stop making payment, which I was current on, they only reached out to 1 creditor. After calling to cancel the program, I was told they charge a 27% fee for each settlement, a monthly fee and more fees! Better off dealing with your own accounts. This is the BIGGEST scam I have ever dealt with. I paid 552.50 into the program, they paid $158 to one, only ONE creditor and say the rest is their fees. They lie to get you to sign the bottom line. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. Deal with your own creditors because you will get further than getting ripped off by this place. read more

Representative are very courteous however, there is always delay in getting answers. You end up calling them a few times. This made a stressfully financial situation even more stressful. Do not use these people - they do not do anything and yes - they ruin your credit due to non-action - and not notifying your creditors. Not quite happy because my credit score went from high 700s to 548. I have 3 accounts that need settled and you have only taken care of 1. The big account has not been taken care of as of yet and that is the one I need taken care of. I am in my mid 60s and I don't know if I will ever recover from this. read more
