Urumçi Uygur is slightly upscale and sometimes you see people dressed up, but it's not necessary. The service is fast and very kind. You never have to wait very long to have your order taken or have your food placed on your table. The food is absolutely amazing and whenever I'm craving spicy noodles, I come here. Their food is clean and fresh. The flavor is excellent and if it's not spicy enough, they have extra sauces on the table. Of all the Uygur places I've tried in Ankara, this is the best. Their food is not extra greasy, like some other ones. Overall, this is a must try in Ankara. You won't regret it!

I ordered the lunch special which consisted of 12 pieces of sushi and a small glass of coke. My only problem was that for the price the portions are extremely small, however, the sushi is very tasty. My friend ordered a bento box which had fried dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable rice and edamame. We were less than impressed with the edamame and the dumplings were too hard. For dessert we had the special which was jasmine tea or Turkish coffee with roasted honey coated walnuts. The jasmine tea was delicious and my favorite part of the entire meal! One thing that left a bitter taste in my mouth was the stinginess of the restaurant. I asked for a small glass of water to take some medicine and I was charged a ridiculous amount. Not classy and not fitting for the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience. The atmosphere is calm and it's a nice place to catch up with old friends.
