I ordered ice tea with no sugar and it was at my table with chips and salsa within two minutes. I ordered the creamy enchilada plate and it came out piping hot-very fast. The sides of beans and rice were cooked to perfection as well. I can't wait to go back. read more

I went to eat at Guadalajara and had a disappointing experience. I ordered the Brenham Burrito, which comes stuffed with your choice of meat, rice, and beans. It was also supposed to be served with Rice & Beans. The waiter didn't bring them out with my burrito, and so I thought maybe I misread. I was tired and hungry, it happens right? To their credit, the burrito tasted great! But when checking out, I grabbed a nearby menu just to double check AND it says it right there! Under the section Dinners Mexicanas " Served with Rice & Beans!" But the cashier explains that the Brenham Burrito comes with the side of Rice & Beans INSIDE of the burrito, and not on the side. He also explained this was a COMMON misunderstanding, and that in the future I had the option to buy an additional side of Rice & Beans, or even to ask the staff to put them on the side instead of in the burrito! Now it doesn't explain any of this anywhere on the menu, and no staff warned me about this when I ordered it. If they just forgot to bring them out with my food, okay, life happens. But to pretend that a customer expecting a side of rice & beans on a dish "Served with Rice & Beans" is some weird misunderstanding people keep having for some reason, like you're the first restaurant in the state of Texas to use the phrase "Served with rice & beans" but you're still not taking any steps to fix it? So I'm just putting it out there that if you go to Guadalajara, make sure ahead of time that they intend to actually serve you what they put on the menu. It's disappointing because I've really enjoyed going there in the past. But SMH, there's too many Mexican Restaurants in Brenham to go somewhere where they don't give you what you paid for, and then suggest you pay them more money to get it. read more

We got to the restaurant at 5:00 with no one in the restaurant. We ordered and sat there for about 30 minutes and it got pretty busy. Still no food. Multiple tables that came in after us started getting their food and we realized maybe they forgot to put in our order. No one came back to the table for re fills or to check in. At 6:00 we got up to go to the register and waiting there until someone finally came up. She was rude about us leaving and was very adamant that we pay for the drinks we had (soda). People that got there 15 minutes after us got their food and had to go boxes. The staff stood around and watched and did not help us what's so ever. The staff wasn't the nicest to us either. We arrived and they were quite busy. (Great sign) It is located almost off 290. The outside of the building is nothing special. They had a lot to choose from on the buffet. Cheese or beef enchiladas, tostados, soups, rice, beans, salad, fresh fruit, Sopaipillas and fresh tortillas. The beef enchiladas were going fast so they must have been good. The cheese enchiladas were very good. I had 3! I wish they did not put tomatoes on everything. They should be an opinion on the side. (Not everyone can eat them) Over all the food was good. Middle of nowhere. Pretty decent restaurant. We stopped in on the way to Austin and got some food really quick. The service was really good. The only reason why I'm giving them a four star review is because they try to charge me $2.50 for a glass of water. I got them to correct the bill but there's no way you're trying to charge me five dollars for two glasses of water. They had a Buffay line to go in which the local seem to really like. I took a look at the Buffay and I didn't look that good. So we order from Wyniece. I will give them this the chips and salsa are really good here. My enchiladas were pretty good LOL. Overall the food was pretty good. The prices are very fair and like I said the service is quite decent. On the way out you can get free ice cream. The ice cream machine malfunctioned and sprayed all over my shirt. So yeah solid four stars read more

Food was really good. My tacos al carbon were tasty. My girlfriend had chicken enchiladas and the were able to customize it with the tomatillo and sour cream sauce she wanted. Queso we started with was really good too. Only issue was the drinks were off. Her frozen margarita tasted strange and my paloma was made with lime juice, not grapefruit. Service was a little spotty and it took us a while to track down a waiter to pay our check. That was a minor issue though and would not prevent a return visit. read more

Manager here was very rude. After going to checkout and finding no one there I ran to restroom real quick. Manager didn't like that he had to wait for me to come back to the register, so he ignored me as I stood right in front of him at the register waiting for him to look at me. He just kept talking to a coworker next to him, as if I wasn't there, ignoring me long enough for it to be obvious to me and my dinner partner that he was disrespecting me. When he finally showed me the bill and took my card and tapped it, instead of returning the card to me right away, he hid it behind the register holding it, even though it showed on the terminal that the transaction was already approved... just to make me wait more. Then, when I got the card back from him, he never said thank you, but just turned and ignored me rudely. The child's hamburger also smelled and tasted like old gamey meat which we didn't realize until he had eaten half of it. We won't be back! read more

This place was horrible we waited 30 minutes after quoted a 10-15 min wait. The hostess said she didn't need our name since we were standing right there. Then proceeded to sit down numerous of people in front is us. Finally we sat down right in front of the register!! They took our drinks and kept getting them wrong. After waiting for about 15 minutes we asked for a waiter and no one came even asked the manager for a waiter and no one could get anyone to come check on us: the hostess was just looking at us smirking and never asked if we needed anything! We chose this by a recommendation from a friend of my wife's that lives here and it did not disappoint. My daughter the stuffed avocados and were great as well. My wife had the Brenham burrito and WOW! It was great and huge. I had the shrimp enchiladas with flour tortillas and white wine sauce and they are they BEST I have ever had. My family and I stopped at Guadalajara on our way to Houston. It was the middle of the day and there were no customers so we got worried that the food might not be good. I told him I think you should write this down because its a pretty big order but he said I got it...Well he forgot the cheese dip and screwed up om my tacos.. the flour tortilla were stall...when I got home I called and complained about the tacos and tortillas..he said the tortillas are only fresh in the morning when they make them...NEVER AGAIN will they get my business.. read more
