I thought the work was too much for one person to handle but Dwight continued slugging away for 13 hours and finished the work. The stones we had put on our front stairs were failing after 15 years and there were a number of bricks starting to break down on our over 40 years old house. Since we are a corner lot our home is exposed on 3 sides and a lot of snow, ice and rain damage occurs. I was very impressed by this very personable young man and the work ethics and diligence he showed. His professional attitude towards the work and his constant double checking the alignment of the stairs and bricks with levels assured me everything was being done of the highest quality.

I first experienced water leaking into my basement in the Spring of 2021. We hired RCC to perform…read morewaterproofing of our home after our plumbing and foundation was inspected with no leaks or cracks found. At the time, Ramy Morcos from RCC (a Consultant at the company as per their website) was assigned to our case. Given the significant amount of water coming into our home, we asked that he refer a contractor to help with drying and demolition to avoid mould formation, to which he said he had contacts for this. Despite numerous phone calls emails, voicemails, etc, he failed to provide a crew for this. Ultimately after months of trying to contact him, I sought out a third party who assessed the damage and deemed that mould had formed throughout the entire basement, and that the entire basement would need to be demolished and treated for mould. We then had our basement repaired. This entire ordeal cost us in excess of $15,000. Fast forward, even after the waterproofing has been done, we have continued to have water coming into the home. Ramy and his team at RCC initially responded, but have ignored our phone calls and have gone so far as to say that the wet materials (laminate, drywall, baseboards) don't need to be removed. Again I had a third party contractor come in who removed the laminate and found rotting laminate and mould (smells extremely foul), which again needs to be treated before this area of our home can be habitable again. Ramy and RCC do not care about their customers. It is within their wheelhouse to deal with interior damage related to water (they recently acquired a company, Rainbow Restoration), and they have decided to not take on any responsibility. They are comfortable with homeowners conferring public health risks by way of mould exposure if it means that they don't need to get involved. I am extremely concerned about how they conduct their business and urge you to stay away from RCC.

Aquatech was responsive to our request for a quote to repair a basement leak we had. After…read moreresearching the company and being provided a fair quote, along with taking into consideration that they have their own employees not subcontractors, we decided to go with Aquatech. The workers arrived early and went to work right away. They lay out a large tarp to protect the lawn from the dirt being dug up. They also had to cut a few branches from a shrub which they cleaned up at the end. The work was done very efficiently and orderly. They workers were friendly and was orient answering any questions we had. We also had a vent that needed caulking which they also caulked for us at no extra charge. The job was completed and all the dirt was nicely replaced. They offer a transferable warranty on the job.

I had 2 other companies come & say my only option was to install an internal weeping tile system that would go to my sump pump. The amount of water I had coming in was so minimal that it would evaporate before even making its way to the sump pump. I called Crackmasters after getting recommended by my parents & old neighbours. I spoke with Tina over the phone who was VERY knowledgeable and went through their process with me. Knowing the age of my house, seeing photos of my concerns, and other key factors, she was able to determine that we only needed to fill the cracks. For the initial quote I met with Behtash Adib. He was punctual, professional and took the time to answer any and all questions. While deciding on the scope of the job Behtash was consistent with prompt responses and information. The basement waterproofing was done by Ade, Shy and Vandyke. During the project they noticed a potential problem in the same room unrelated to their work. The team notified me and even paused while they had a specialist stop by and check it out. This was above and beyond and extremely helpful. The second project was my front steps. Over the years the cement steps cracked and started to settle into the ground. The concrete repair team fixed this quickly, with excellent results. Andrew and Russel took the time to confirm my expectations of the job and answer any questions I had. We had some big rains lately in the area, and, with one of them, I had a bit of water coming into…read morethe basement. This only happened this once in a year we've been in the house. Of the two basement window wells, one was draining properly, in one, the water sat half the way the window and seeping through slowly. At first, I didn't know if that was the only spot or the wall was cracked, I was thinking all kinds of things. I called many waterproofers in the area, Rob and another company were the only ones to answer and schedule an appointment. He came, looked at the basement, looked outside and deteremined an action plan. Came on the appointment date and did what needed to be done. Said that might not be whole solution, but we can only try since it seems the most feasable one. I don't mind. We'll see how it goes. He also suggested what would need to be done should water come again. He did test the repair he did and water is now draining properly in both wells. Overall an honest, well done job.
