This store is not just a newsagents but a hardware store, gift shop, nic nack type store. They sell a huge varity of hardware items, from nails, screws and bolts to power tools, washing lines and ironing boards. There gift range again is varied from presents ranging from 1 pounds upwards, from little magnets up to vases and clocks etc. They also sell loads of magazines, papers etc and sweets and drinks etc, which is probally their main bread and butter. The staff are great, and the gentleman whom owns the store is great and any help you need when it comes to hardware/diy problems, he is an expert and is only too happy to help. Its a smallish bookstore next to…read morewoolworths (well for the moment anyway) the owner is great and he genuninly cares about his books, he knows everything there is to know about the book, the authors, the illustators, what they are working on next etc.he is amazing. My children love going in there, and are facinated by the owner. His prices are really really good and to be honest he is just as cheap as the more popular places, which god knows how he does it, i really do not know. He sells lots of history books, childrens books, novels, some gorgeous globes (the really posh ones ). He also sells some great posters and bookmarks etc. The childrens area also has a little seating area to encourage them to read, which again is loverly that he encourage this. I love this store and hope that the people of rugby support it in order for him to remain open for many more years to come especially with the current financial state.

The cristian bookshop is also another shop that has been in rugby for years, i used to go there…read morewhen i was younger, as i attended bible studies and i was reccommended many books from my pastor, so used to use my pocket money to get some books, and also i had a thing about bookmarks for my bible to highlight passages that i liked (or in more honesty probally just the one i understood at that age) well although i still have faith and find it important to involve it in my childrens life, i do not activly go to bible studies anymore, but i still do go to this bookstore, as there are some great books, about the persecution of christians etc and also i have purchased many books for my children, like my first bible, bible for begginners readers, the nativity story etc etc. The staff inside are great, i think they are the happiest people i know alway big smile on their faces. The prices are great too, very reasonable and good quality also. If you are a cristian or if you are just someone looking for a nice cristening gift for a child, then this is the place. This book store is based opposite whetherspoons.
