Some rooms have balconies with a view of the town (Palace Hotel) or the valley with mountains and a gorgeous sunset. During very popular weeks during the year they do have a one week minimum booking. But you should call in advance to see. Breakfast is included and you can also have dinner included with your rate (half board) if you desire. The breakfast is a wonderful Swiss breakfast and you have a choice of all different kinds of müesli and cheeses, including the local Gstaad cheese, local sausage, smoked salmon, incredible breads. Swiss jams. The servers also will make you a great cappuccino, latte,, a fresh avocado toast, bacon and fried eggs, etc. if you want. It's just a very charming small hotel and cozy as it is family owned. The Saagi Stubli fondue restaurant underneath the hotel is known as one of the best raclette places in the area (they melt it with a wood fire) but make a reservation with the front desk in advance. I always stay here on my trips to the "Saanenland". You're right in the center of things so you can walk everywhere. Best location! Just next door there's a great a ski shop/rental place across the street, a "molkerei" store where you can buy drinks and snacks, drugstore, and you can actually walk 10 minutes to the Eggli ski mountain if you want. On my stay (2022) because I had booked directly through the hotel they gave me the option of either a free pass at the local Sports Center which is just down the street with a beautiful pool and gym or a drink at the bar in the hotel. They have a wonderful wellness center in the hotel with a sauna, steam room, relaxation rooms and whirlpools. showers have different temperatures and scented waters (like citrus or eucalyptus) with colored lights to relax, stars in the ceiling, and things like that. There's no gym in a hotel but the Gstaad Sports Center is right next-door and it has a fantastic gym you can use, plus the Olympic size pool there is beautiful. You can pay for parking in the hotel's underground lot. Simply a great place to stay in Gstaad.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights this summer and the experience was AWFUL. We could both…read moremove past how dingy and outdated the hotel was, we knew it was a good deal for a place as expensive as Gstaad. However, the woman who worked there made our experience truly awful. It started when my husband asked her for suggestions on where to rent a bike. She replied, shortly, "the train station". Later, I asked a man who worked there if he had another recommendation. At this point, the woman came bolting into the conversation saying "Just go to the train station!". I explained that we didn't expect her to have the answer of the best place to rent bikes, we were just looking at all of our options. The next morning, we went down to breakfast. I asked her for some coffee (patrons have to ask- it's not independent available) and she said OK and made it. We noticed that, as everyone else in the hotel came down to breakfast, she greeted them and offered them coffee. The day before at breakfast, she asked that we leave our used plates on their bar. So, on this day I cleaned up our table and brought the dishes to the bar. A few minutes later she came to the door of the dining room and YELLED at me across the room "Don't do that! Just leave your dishes!". Additionally, I asked her to fill up a large water bottle I had. She was unhelpful and suggested I do it in the sink. This woman, owner, employee, whatever, was nothing but rude towards my husband and I, often singling us out and making the hotel experience truly horrific. Don't ever go here, unless you hear they are under new management!
