He was calm, validating, and realistic about the challenges I was facing, which immediately helped me feel more grounded. He was always easy to work with and highly communicative, typically responding within 24 hours, which made a huge difference during such a difficult time. After reconnecting with him in early 2025, he represented me in a second move-away trial that was successfully granted in early 2026. Sean is honest, detail-oriented, and truly makes you feel heard and supported. He is also very mindful of costs and works efficiently, often checking in about where to focus his time, which I really appreciated. He took the time to thoroughly prepare me for trial, and I felt as ready as possible going into court. I truly can't thank Sean enough and highly recommend him for family law matters. He's the real deal!

I don't know what I would have done without him. When I first started looking for a lawyer, I worried about two things. That they'd never have time for me, and that they'd drag things out just to rack up costs. Sean has been the exact opposite. We mostly communicate over email and he's extremely responsive. And he genuinely tries to keep costs down and resolve things quickly. What I appreciate most is his calm, level-headed approach. He always tries to resolve things to avoid court. But when going to court is necessary, he's confident and effective. And when we have gone, we've won.

I felt like the world…read morewas going to end, I was 24 (at the time of the accident), my BA was over 1.8, I was driving over 80mph, and I hit another car causing bruising on the passenger's leg. I was charged with major bodily harm, this was the lowest moment of my life. Mrs. Feigelson took my case, she dove into my history of alcoholism after leaving Afghanistan. She got to know me and strategized a legal defense that connected my service-related PTSD to the legal trouble I found myself in. Mrs. Feigelson fought for me to be transferred into Veterans Court. Her knowledge of the court system and thorough understanding of programs that are uniquely tailored to her clients let me have another chance at life. Without her help, I would have gotten that felony, I would have lost my future. She stood by me for over 2 years making court appearances on my behalf. She is more than a lawyer, she's someone who you can trust will do everything in her power to get you the best outcome. I can not describe the amount of esteem and admiration I have for her. I graduated from Veterans court; my entire DUI was taken off my criminal record and dismissed. Life will happen, and sometimes you end up somewhere you don't want to be. If you have a criminal case, especially a DUI Mrs. Feigelson is the lawyer you need. If I ever have any issues in the future she is the only lawyer I would consider hiring 10/10.

We found out recently that it was not when we tried to hire an expungement lawyer. The expungement lawyer told us he couldn't help because the case was on going. I googled lawyers who would able to help for his specific situation and came across Rebecca. She called me back within minutes. Before I even gave her a red cent she was already looking into the case and giving me advice on what she could do if I hired her. The second I sent her payment she was making phone calls. Within 24hrs she spoke to the clerk, probation officer, district attorney, the clerk again, the judge, and got the case dismissed. ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS. Looks like my first born child's name will be Rebecca. I can't thank her enough, I am eternally grateful.

I had a Zoom consult with McLaughlin & Sanchez and was really impressed…read more Andres Sanchez knows San Francisco landlord-tenant law inside and out. SF regulations are layered and highly technical, but he broke everything down clearly and gave very pragmatic advice -- not just what the law says in theory, but what actually makes sense in practice. He was straightforward, thoughtful, and realistic about options and potential outcomes. I especially appreciated that he focused on practical next steps instead of overcomplicating things. It felt strategic and grounded, not alarmist. If you're dealing with a landlord-tenant issue in San Francisco and want clear, practical guidance, this firm is a solid choice.

No one wants to hire a lawyer, but if you need an exceptional firm with attorneys who truly specialize in landlord-tenant matters, look no further. I thought very hard about writing this review, but I do feel other people ought to be warned. I am…read morea trans woman, and I wanted to hire a lawyer to do my name / gender change forms. I googled and found that Levine Family Law advertises this service. They charged, as I recollect, $3500. The forms went in fine, but then I waited for months for the court order to be entered. At first they said six weeks, but the timeline kept slipping. I started having calls with Levine asking what was happening--they said the SF court was backed up and that it would take time. But it became clear that they did not have a direct line to the courthouse and had a very difficult time getting hold of human beings over there: they were essentially blind. I asked for a call with my lawyer, Stan, but was informed he had left the practice (nobody had told me). I had a call with the office manager Katie, and she basically told me I'd just have to wait. It was very nice and all, but she said I just needed to wait. I live about 20 min drive from the courthouse, so after that call I got so frustrated I got in my car, and I went to the courthouse. There was no line at the records office. They pulled my application, and the clerk said he'd put it on the top of the stack on Monday. By Tuesday, my name/change order was granted, and I had my certified copies. What makes me angry is that I was repeatedly told that the courthouse was busy and, essentially, incompetent, but actually every interaction I've had with them, whether for this or for other records requests, has been prompt and efficient. There is almost never a line; they are very helpful in answering questions. It has become clear to me that Levine Family Law merely scapegoats the courthouse, and that the true issue is their inability to get anyone there on the phone. In the USA, we don't hire lawyers merely to fill out forms--we hire them to shepherd us through the legal process. Levine family law certainly would never be as cavalier about the fate of a child custody or divorce decree--it is only their trans clients that they leave to fend for themselves, twisting in the wind for months. It is unconscionable to charge people $3500 and then be unwilling to take twenty minutes to, say, show up at the courthouse and make sure the decree actually gets entered. If you're not willing to do what it takes to get the decree granted, please don't offer it as a service. As it is, I have no doubt that if I'd filled out the forms myself and gone to the courthouse on my own, I'd have gotten everything done much quicker and more cheaply. I want to reiterate that the forms they filed were apparently fine, but they had absolutely no orientation to actually following up with the court. No doubt they will respond to say that they did their job when they filed the forms. But I was advised by Stan specifically that he was going to be in my corner, following up on these forms. When a firm charges for this service, they are charging for peace of mind--the idea that they will handle everything. If all you want is someone to file forms, maybe this law office is fine, but if you want someone who will make sure the decree actually gets granted, you shouldn't go with them.
