The place is nice because it doesn't have loud music blasting and you can hold a conversation unlike other cocktail bars in Frankfurt. The staff is very fast and friendly. They immediately served us and brought cucumber infused water along with a snack mix. I found it great that they gave little snacks for their customers to munch on. The cocktails tasted great and had a decent amount of alcohol inside. I would say the cocktails are a bit pricey for the quality though. Other than that highly recommend this place for a night out.

The bartender knew his stuff, and was happy to make custom cocktails based upon your desired flavor profile. He was very friendly to speak with. They have a nice selection of whiskeys, bourbons, tequilas, as well as many type of bitters, etc. The lighting is dim, with a fun mix of old jazz music playing. I enjoyed this place so much on my first trip, I took several clients here the following night for post-dinner drinks. I would definitely come back again when in the area.

This is a little gem in Mainz. When I walked in I had a great first impression of the place, not…read morebecause of the friendly staff, or the classy decor, not because of the use of high quality liquors, but it was the amount of fresh ingredients they use. I saw fresh basil , simple syrup, house made sweet and sour mix, and a lot of other things that cocktails bars in the area refused use. I am a whiskey and bourbon type of guy. For the last two years I've been searching for a place that can make a proper Old Fashion and its been a horrible experience. Most put the most random things in the drink like, granulated sugars, oranges, cherries, etc. But know here, whoever trained the staff must have been a old catholic nun who slapped their wrist with a ruler whenever they put the wrong ingredients in a drink. I only say this because this the only place that I have found to make a near perfect Old Fashion. Unfortunately, great drinks comes with great responsibility (Spider-Man reference.. don't judge me), and with all the drinks being freshly made, it does take a while. But if you actually sat at the bar and watched them make it, you'd understand that they are pouring to perfection. Also, this place is small, so on a Friday night it can be packed and very loud. Those two reasons are why this bar didnt receive a 5/5 rating. The drinks are pricey, but its a cocktail bar with fresh ingredients, so expect to pay 7.50 to 9 euros on average, but most people have 1 or 2 and they are good. I'd totally recommend this place if you're looking for a place to dress up a bit and got out for drinks.

Ambiance (4/5): You may have trouble finding this speakeasy if you don't do your research prior. It's located inside what looks like the entrance to an apartment. Walk in, press the buzzer, and the hostess will greet you. Once you get inside, it's dimly lit with old school charm. My only complaint. No A/C and uncomfortable chairs. Service (4/5): At a speakeasy, you expect elevated service. And it was good here. Our waiter answered our questions, made recommendations, and had a good sense of humor. When he was asked what a popular cocktail is in Germany, he said beer. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and I don't think they have food anyway. Drinks (4/5): They have a long list of craft cocktails which is a plus. What I look for at a speakeasy is creativity and an interesting blend of flavors. While some of the options on their menu are basic cocktails, there are some interesting ones, too. The one I had, while the name is escaping me, had a nice fruity and refreshing profile. One of the coolest bars I checked out in Frankfurt. Prost!
