The prices are good, and they have special offers for students. I haven't tried any of the food yet, but i heard it is pretty decent for a place like this. They also offer snooker, darts and airhockey. Five plasma screens above the bar let you follow different sport events. Alternatively you can look out the banks of windows where you can see half of Darmstadt. Or you go out to the atrium, which is also the smoking area, and watch the stars on a mild summer night. They even paid attention to details in the rest rooms, and therefore everything just feels right to me here. I just wish the stairs wouldn't have this horrible smell of varnish, but this surely wasn't their fault.

The seats were ours for as long as we wanted them. If we wanted anything like another beverage we had to flag down the waiter, which is fine. They aren't ignoring us, just letting us 'be'. The menu items are a combination of German foods w/Americanized names and Americanized fare like burgers and salads. My steak salad was very good. Steak cooked medium, fresh greens and a light vinaigrette that complemented the dish. Good fries too. We watched German football and F1 racing (a repeat broadcast). There are *many* TV's all around.
