My husband passed away and I was given insurance through the VA due to my husband being disabled at the time of his passing. It took me 3 months to acquire the insurance however they made the date retroactive to the date my husband passed. Between this time I had been to this practice once. I explained to them the situation and was told that they did not take this insurance. I had to go through finding a new provider and changing doctors only to get an explanation of benefits from my new insurance stating they paid them in full. I then find them listed on the CHAMPVA website as one of their providers! So the lady either blatantly lied to me or she had no idea what she was talking about and how to do her job. Needless to say this pissed me off. This biller needs to go through the training process again and learn how to do her job.

The staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I do not see a huge turnover in staff. They have assisted me with various referrals and let I have always been seen the same day for a sick visit. The office is pretty busy but there is never a long wait. I have stopped in to ask a few questions and never felt like I was imposing. Once, when I was sick and the office on Sheffield Street was closed, I went to the F street office and was seen pretty quickly. Most of the time, if I need to get any tests like x-rays, mammograms etc. I would go to Elkins Park. This particular test was not done there so I chose Einstein Center One. They offer services for primary care and specialty doctors located in Northeast Philadelphia. It was easy to find and had plenty of free parking. Security was friendly, helping me find my way. I had pre registered on line, so checking in was seamless. I didn't have to wait but about 10 minutes and was called in for my study. The technician was friendly and made me feel at ease. I was out and on my way in least than a hour. I would definitely go back to the location and highly recommend it.
