This review covers just this company's property mgmt entity and nothing else…read more If one is looking for a place to live, in Grant County, WA, you have a choice of options. Most will be found on the Internet and include Craigslist.org among others and Windermere property mgmt. I came upon a listed property on their website and this is what I endured and was subjected to with three employees I had interactions with. My experience dealing with employees of this business goes back to Aug of 2025. One thing seems abundantly clear, their employer, Windermere, it appears they don't offer PD to their employee's which would explain the lack of CM and CS that was clearly NOT in evidence among those I dealt with. PD = Professional Development CM = Communication skills CS = Customer Service skills Of the three employees I had contact with, the first one, she would only use E-mail and nothing else to communicate. The 2nd employee, I had but a brief conversation via telephone and she just reiterated what the first employee had said in a msg to me. As for the 3rd employee who I later was told was running this office, he managed to use both E-mail and the telephone to converse with me. After submitting an application, ten days later and an employee is asking me "the CUSTOMER" if I could contact my rental reference(s) and ask them if they received this company's Rental Verification Form. Huh? Like, isn't that your JOB?!?! So I did and by the end of the month and my application had been approved. What I wasn't told and wouldn't find out until Oct 6th, my application, was it the first one submitted and/or approved? Apparently not for on this day and I get told the property has been offered to someone else! Never able to reach this employee [Ms G] by phone, I speak to another one who just confirms "we don't hold properties" but she mentions a similar rental and will have the person who manages it give me a call. So now I'm on to my 3rd employee and eventually he realizes, the 1st employee, she never let me know that I was the 1st person to submit an application and one that was approved. And now she's offered the rental to another party! Long story short this 3rd employee, Mr. F, he moves my application back to the original property I was interested in. Fast-forward to the middle of Nov and I move my belongings into this rental but return to my previous residence to clean it up and out. At this time I'm sent a msg from a Ms. G, an inspection report regarding the property. If I come across any other issues I can reply to this msg. So returning the last wknd of Nov, 2025, and I reply that I've come upon a couple of issues. I hear nothing from this employee Ms. G and so I reach out to the 3rd employee I've had contact with previously, a Mr F. Despite being told I could simply reply to the previous employee's E-mail if I come upon anything else not listed in the inspection report, Mr F lets me know "you need to use the tenant portal." Okay, fine. I then proceed to let him know that I would like to replace my garbage can for it has a large gash in it. Mr F barks back at me, "WE DON'T DO THAT, WE DON'T DO THAT!!! You need to call such and such trash company. Does he offer a phone #? Well, of course not. I then make mention that while swapping out a 3-wire plug on my dryer for a 4-wire connection, I noticed as I was about to insert this plug into the electrical outlet meant for a dryer, ALL four screws that hold the faceplate in place, they're loose to the point you can see them all sticking out! So naturally, I took a slot-bladed screwdriver and tightened them all down. Upon hearing this bit of news, Mr F starts screaming at me, "TELL ME YOU DIDN'T, TELL ME YOU DIDN'T?!" "I'm like, huh and what's with the verbal ABUSE on ME?" Then I realize, "he wasn't paying attention to what I had just said!" So I explain to Mr F that I'll repeat what I just said, but much more slowly this time. Now he understands what I'd said but doesn't say anything more. During our telephone conversation, I make mention that it seems as if he's always got one foot out the door when he responds to me. By this I mean, he replies to my E-mails or calls me back just before the COB. Mr F, with his reply, he let's me know, "I work 24/7." Right, and that's why you couldn't provide me with a telephone # for the trash company earlier in our conversation? I also let Mr F know that an employee of his, a Ms G, it seems she wanted me to reach out to my rental reference(s) and ask them, "did you get the rental verification form I sent you?" I'm the customer, correct? So why am I getting asked to do something that's part of the employee's job? Hearing what I had just said, I expected Mr F to offer up an apology to me. WRONG! Instead, Mr F snaps back at me and replies, "Hey, you got the property!" What he stopped short of saying: What the *uck more do you want?" Disgusting behavior ALL around which I did not deserve !!!

The owner of this company Joanne Selmann is very un-professional when it comes to her business…read morepractices. She will keep the deposit and make it very difficult to work without yelling at people " I have had enough" and hanging up on customers. Let me be clear I am not a tenant but a co-signer on the lease for my sister who was diagnosed with a terminal cancer that has taken her away from us too early in her beautiful life. Joanne Selman refuses to send a check in my name or in my brother in-laws name only as there is no more accounts left in her name. She is holding fund and will not work with us by sending the check in either my name or my brother in-laws name, (both of us are on the lease as well) claiming she has no proof that my sister has passed. Even now they have the death certificate she refused to talk to any of us without yelling "I have had enough" and hanging up. I only ask for a bit of understanding and compassion in this matter and it is clear she lacks the professionalism needed to run this property management business. She just goes on and on about needing a something from an attorney but can't tell me what document she needs to handle this situation so we can all move on. I highly recommend you look for any other options before renting from this company. She will do everything in her power to stand in the way of you getting your deposit back and try to make you out to be the villain in her story.

I just told her what my issues were, and she addressed them right away. Her approach of "taking care of business," and not wasting your time is exactly what I needed. Finding her was a blessing! I hope more owners add a response because after interviewing most of the property managers in the area, it was a disappointment until I spoke with Jo Anne! Thank you so much Jo Anne!

My boyfriend and I have been in our townhome a few months so far. We have loved living here so far!…read moreThe unit we have is very well insulated. We had to call maintenance for a few minor things when we moved in and they were very quick to respond and even left us a nice note about our dogs! Then reason for the 4 stars is for our move in process. It was rough, but it may have been due to our circumstances. We were interested in another unit that got rented before we could get it, but when another tenant put in their notice we were able to put down a deposit, and all we had to do was wait for them to move out. We were told anytime between mid January to mid February. I messaged every week for a status, with the response that they didnt know, but by February 15. As we reached the end of the month I started making plans for the 15th, since I hadn't heard anything and I was moving from the tri cities. When we finally heard we could move in, it was two weeks earlier than the 15th and 4 days away! I had to scramble and try to get a new uhaul and people to help me move a week early. Even though I couldn't move until February 7th, it was ready the last two days of January, so we had to pay a prorated rate for January (another $200) which was frustrating. Additionally, my move costs ended up being more expensive due to the week I needed the uhaul. Also, My boyfriend had already paid another month of rent at his old apartment as we thought we were not moving in until mid February. We got the money back from his old apartment, but it was a hassle. I also wish they would have taken more time when painting as there were paint splatters all over the counters, floor and trim in the kitchen and bathroom. They cleaned up easily with a magic eraser though. Overall, I am very happy with the townhome and once we moved in, Graf has been very responsive and open with communication. I just wish the communication before we moved in was better and the move in process went smoother, but it may have been a perfect storm. I think if you were renting a unit that was available right away, you would be fine.

We've lived in a newer unit for the last 6 years and if we ever have an issue, maintenance is there within a day. They are helpful and walk you through the rental process. Apartment living is a pain, but Graf makes it pretty easy. The only complaint I have is snow removal could be better, but they are usually on it by 11am if the snowfall is crazy.
