I have never sent my child to daycare so I was very hesitant and nervous. I had my aunt come with me on every tour I went on, and we both agreed on so many things. Kinder care we both agreed felt the most comfortable, welcoming, and just more at home/down to earth. For the price you pay for child care we expect to be able to show something for it, whether it be excitement at the end of the day, or fun activities, anything really. And Kinder Care provides that. My child was nervous going to daycare as was I, this was a huge step for us both. He's 5 and I was waiting for the water works to start as soon as day 1 came. But to my surprise he was excited, I think the fact that they had some kind of activity everyday planned out got him interested. Not only that but as his parent I felt comfortable when they actually looked out for my child. Day 1 we walked into his age group and he was uncomfortable, wouldn't leave my side, didn't talk to anyone. The director Eryn came in after watching him and told me she thought he would be most comfortable in another classroom. I said whatever you think, we pulled him into a different age group and the difference just walking into the other classroom compared to the first was HUGE. He immediately sat down and started playing and he wasnt even nervous anymore. Its been a few weeks since we started our journey and I currently have nothing negative to say. He is so happy every time I pick him up, tells me all the stuff he is doing, and is getting some great interactions/making friends. I also want to add I love that everyone seems to recognize everyone. It didnt take long before staff just started knowing not only my child's name but putting my face to the child. I also have to give a special shout out to his teacher Miss Denise, he thinks she is the best! She has also been super helpful in being extra considerate when he may have a hard day here and there and not only do I appreciate it, but he does too. He said she really cares.

My daughter actually pulled my grandbaby out of this program a while back, and a big part of that was because the way the front office carries themselves I'll never forget the day I went in there to pick up my grandbaby. I had a simple question about the sign-out, and the way the lady from the office spoke to me... it was just demanding. It was not just being "busy" it was a "better-than-you" attitude that made me feel like a nuisance just for standing there. At my age, I've dealt with plenty of schools and programs, and I know when someone is looking down their nose at you. It's a shame because you're trusting these people with your heart and soul, but they act like giving you a respectful answer is doing you a favor. If the admins can't show a grandmother some basic professional respect, they probably can't show a grandbaby any respect either, you know what I'm saying?

Parents are encouraged to drop in, and daily report cards inform us about her going's on (and are honest). I think anyone who visits can see that the staff ENJOY interacting with the kids and the kids are enjoying an environment is stimulating. I have no concerns whatsoever about her safety, or the heart of the staff. Doing the math on the money: given that two adults are taking care of 10 or less kids, feeding them three times, and keeping them occupied with clean well-maintained toys and stuff in a safe environment; frankly I think it's a great deal. The director, Holly, is very warm and knowledgable - and clearly loves her work with families and children! During our first week, every teacher greeted our daughter by name, and we were thrilled by the nurturing and encouraging environment EB provided to make it a smooth transition both for us and the little one. EB is at the highest rating for Indiana's evaluation, a "4" on Paths to Quality, and they provide staff with continuous professional development and feedback. They use High Scope curriculum, which is a highly respected program for early childhood. They have a very warm, professional, and well-trained staff who simply LOVE working with children. (Also all of their staff are taking college coursework or have degrees, which was a big plus for me!) Our little one has absolutely thrived here, and her language, social and motor skills have been developing wonderfully! I think this has been supported by the wide range of activities, great communication, and well planned experiences her teachers provide every day. On food- this is a tough one for certified daycare programs everywhere. EB provides site-prepared meals, and has a good menu rotation. EB is very open to working with families to accommodate diets; but in the end, we decided to bring our own meals to provide organics and whole foods (ok with a doctor's note). The staff has been incredibly supportive for this, and we are grateful they have been so flexible! Bottom line: EBLC and its wonderful staff have allowed me to go back to work full time with confidence that my daughter is getting wonderful nurturance and care.

We love Montessori. It is a unique, diverse, and engaging environment. Our child has thrived…read moresocially and academically. She is valued and respected. The teachers are the absolute best. They understand and engage each child. Besides academics, they learn respect for self, others, and the community. The upper elementary grades volunteer at an assisted living facility and at the Center for the Homeless. They take learning out into the world. TMA prepares kids for the future and makes them better able to understand the world around them and their role in it. Moving to TMA is the best decision we ever made for our child. It has been a rewarding experience.

The students who attend TMA who go on to be successful are the product of parental involvement and many hours of expensive private tutoring outside of the school day. If your child goes to TMA and you do not augment their education there with private tutors, they will be far behind the local public school children. I have spoken to many, many parents of former TMA students who have experienced the same thing. Do not believe the administrative rhetoric. The education is sub-par, period!

Our children have attended both the English and Spanish immersion programs and they have both served our individual children with excellence.
