I wouldn't even give one star. Joel was extremely difficult to work with. We were told before we…read moreplaced an offer we would have certain things in the house that were taken. He also denied our appraiser which set back our closing date and financing. We were then homeless due to the sell of our own home and we're given no choice to move in except paying $15,000 in an escrow which we would lose if the closing didn't happen on the exact day. We offered the $15,000 and Joel told them not to take it, leaving us homeless with a handicapped child on a vent and many other medical devices. Joel didn't ask his clients the sellers about things we requested but made decisions for them before consulting with them. This made it super difficult to accomplish anything. He told us as buyers we weren't "appreciative" enough for the sellers although we offered full price on the home. We found working with him very stressful, difficult and I would never recommend using him as a real estate agent.

In terms of management, most of the negatives seem to come from complaints that any AMC has little or no control over. You can always get an agent on the phone fast. I work with a lot of AMCs and I can honestly say that Home Base is one of the best in the industry.

But your appraiser appraised my house at $425,000 when a house in my same neighborhood and a smaller house with no upgrades sold for $500,000 literally the same week you guys appraised my house. You guys suck I wouldn't recommend you to anyone.
