This place wasn't easy to find. Off of the main street a tiny sign caugh my eye, directing me into an alley. The alley opens up into a small space for parking and this little cafe, brightened up by flowers.
The interior is a pretty array of small wooden tables and comfy couches overlaid with inoffensive Spanish music playing. The staff are completely lovely! I haven't been called sweetie since primary school but the ladies here waved me into a seat outside with a flurry of sweeties and darlings! There is WiFi and the usual cast of newspapers on hand. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you with a flurry of compliments.
They've got a menu featuring sandwitches, salads and popular hot lunch items (think lasagna and the like). But the important part of the menu is the all day breakfasts! They've got a huge, delicious full English for under 5 quid featuring fresh tomatoes and perfect eggs.
It's pretty far up North and it's not in a stellar part of the city but for anyone up in the area, I can't reccomend this place enough. read more
