This is a pleasantly surprising little coffee shop with a comfortable vibe (especially for mothers and their young children), plenty of space, delicious food and coffee, and a community-oriented roster of events they're more than happy to share with their customers. The service is also very friendly, and as I found out, the baristas are not averse to making conversation with their more engaging regulars.
I can say from personal experience that their food is pretty darn good. I've only had their bagels and pastries, but from the look of that menu, they've also got you covered when a snack just won't do. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I've worked my way through quite a bit of their tea, coffee, AND hot chocolate menu, and I've yet to have something I didn't like. If you're going for something sweet, though, get ready for your teeth to hurt a bit. It's not unpalatable, but it's definitely kid-friendly, if you know what I mean. (Hella sweet).
I've been to one of their events, and while not the over-the-top extravaganzas you might find at other places, this one had a chill and cozy vibe with a women-empowering twist that made me proud to shop there and support the local lady entrepreneurs. read more
