My cousins go to the Annabelle/Marcelle sale every year but since I don't wear makeup I never thought to go. This year I figured why not. It's a much smaller space than I thought. All products are on tables and there are 2 sections: creams/lotions/makeup removing solutions/men stuff on one side and all makeup on the other. They hand you a plastic bag as soon as you enter, if you want a reusable bag you have to pay (side note: they sell makeup pouches and makeup wipes for $1 but the reusable bags are $2.50! WTH. They should be a $1 too!)
Every product comes with a tester and the attendants know just enough to answer basic questions about the products.
I've used Marcelle face cream before so I figured I would buy some again since it was a good price. The regular cream was $10 but for $12 I could get the one with light sun protection. It was a bit confusing because they had so many different types of face cream that all had the same main function of moisturizing but some had extra stuff or were for older skin. They had one with 24K gold???? So it was weird and I had a lot of trouble figuring out which to get.
When you're ready to pay you head to the far left and they have people who count all your products and check them off a list that you then hand to the cashier to ring up. Taxes are not included in prices but you get a free gift once you reach $85 before taxes. read more
