I mainly attend the jiujitsu classes and have felt a difference both in my body and my mindset. Each month the class focuses on a position and what can be done in that position. It is hard work but if you put in the hard work it is really rewarding. All of these bad reviews seem unwarranted because they focus on individuals who seemingly try to break contracts. Contracts exist for a reason. If you are even slightly interested I would highly recommend attending. They also have classes for children. When my little one is old enough I hope to enroll him as well. The other day I was watching the advanced adult jiujitsu class and there was a moment the children's class came into the same area to get water. All of the advanced class stopped and clapped for a kid who had gotten a new belt. An mma coach was also making small talk with all the kids and you could tell how encouraged the kids felt. If you are patient, like to work hard and are a consistent person, join. If you are not sure, try their free trial. If you are wishy washy (which is fine if that works for you) then this gym probably is not for you. I have seen people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and experience levels in this gym. Not only did they not allow me to open mat, they also have insane cancellation fees and prey on innocent people who just want to train. Quite frankly you would be better off training in an alleyway outside of a bar, because it would be more inclusive and less predatory, and at least then you probably wouldn't get robbed of 600$.

This school is very family oriented and maintains an educational yet fun environment. The pricing here is very fair for the classes as well as their branded merchandise. The class schedule is also very easy to follow. The daily class schedule for each level of students is different for every day of the week. However, this schedule is the same every week. Once you input the dates into your calendar you can put them on repeat and you'll never miss a beat. The belt testing here is also done well in my opinion. The testing dates are announced well in advance and I've also seen them posted throughout the Dojo. As long as the students attend, participate and learn the different blocks, punches, etc then they should pass their tests each time. My son has moved up to the next belt each time he has a belt test. The new location is really cool too! They now have two floors which allows them to accommodate more classes as well. Having earned a second-degree black belt myself years ago, I know firsthand how valuable martial arts can be for kids. Unfortunately, as their clientele expanded, the quality drastically diminished. Classes became increasingly rushed, with students quickly churned through and rewarded with belt stripes after every session, regardless of skill or understanding--akin to a meaningless participation trophy. Their scheduling approach makes everything worse. Classes are booked back-to-back with zero transition time, creating absolute chaos. The parking lot is a constant traffic jam with one group trying to leave while another arrives. Inside, the changing areas are a zoo with kids literally pushing each other to get their belongings while parents wait in the designated area. Classes routinely start 5 minutes late and end 5 minutes early - that's 10 minutes of instruction time lost just to accommodate their overcrowded schedule. I brought this up politely, but my concerns were completely ignored. After two years, my child still hasn't learned the basics: proper stances, how to punch correctly, or even simple defensive moves. Instead, she spent time running obstacle courses, practicing phone numbers she already knew backward and forward, and getting lessons on cleaning up after herself and helping parents. I don't need to pay premium rates for things I teach at home. The overcrowding got ridiculous. One freezing day (19°F with 35mph winds), we had to park a full 7 minutes away from the building. We brought this up stating that this has become a recurring issue. Our concerns were met with dismissal rather than understanding. Immediately after, our child developed a severe ear infection resulting in temporary hearing loss and antibiotics treatment. Children get sick for all sorts of reasons, but as a parent, this correlation was hard to ignore. So, our kid lost interest in martial arts. When we expressed our decision to leave the school due to these issues, instead of addressing our concerns or taking accountability, we were told to send a handwritten cancellation notice via certified mail 30 days in advance--a clearly designed inconvenience to deter cancellations and extend payment cycles. Ultimately, their practices do not reflect the integrity, discipline, or accountability they claim to teach. If you genuinely seek meaningful martial arts instruction for your child, delivered by people who actually embody these values, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This is my second time using Groupon here. The Groupon will last you for 4 months for 30 days of kickboxing class including a pair of gloves. You can come any day you want, make sure check their website for their time schedule. The schedule are different than last year I was here. All of the instructors are really nice. You can practice at your pace. If you have kids or you want to do martial art, they have a very good program here as I can tell (I don't know how much does it cost but it seems fun). Highly recommend if you are around this area. I wish they have another location near me so I don't need to drive this far to be here.
