Walk to the end of the peninsula and this is what you'll find, amazing ruins believed to be from a poets home / villa dating more than 50 years BC, a great little museum, and views to die for. There are signs throughout the grounds that do a great job filling in the gaps so that you can picture what the area looked like and how it was used. The existing ruins are very impressive and can easily take over an hour to enjoy and walk around.
There's a great museum on site, but if it's hot out it's like going into a sauna.
One little tip... If you have people in your group who don't like to walk stick them on the tram to ride to the top of the peninsula for only 1 euro each direction. You just pay when you jump on. read more
