I brought in a floor-length bridesmaid dress be hemmed tea length. I had my shoes and everything, but I had received the dress late so we only had two weeks before the wedding. The tailor said it was no problem and went on fitting and pinning. A week later, it was done -- yay! It wasn't until all the bridesmaids put on their dresses that I realized that mine was at my ankles whilst theirs were all mid-calf. Not a huge disaster, just disappointing. Overall, I would continue to bring suit items (pants, jackets, etc.) but would look elsewhere for evening wear alterations.

I took a purse to get some stones replaced, because they had fell out, and they botched the job. In all actuality they should have told me that they were unable to fix it, but the didn't. I try to support, but this will be the last time that I go there, and if you value your items, I would not take it there if I were you. Two reasons, your idea of quality work may not be their idea of quality work (I know mine is not the same as theirs) and You pre-pay, and they will not return your money when it is obvious that they made the mess up. I wanted to see for myself & support this small black owned business. I took the purse (pictured) to have the strap connectors (don't know what to call them) re-stitched. It took 2 weeks for the owner to complete the small task. NO communication besides dropping it off & the owner texting (after I called him) me once. The woman who took my $10 down payment & gave me the receipt was professional & courteous. After that, I was met with nonchalant, unprofessional handling of my repair. 7/19/25 went to the store had a few words with the owner, I told him how long he had my purse & I wanted my purse & my $10 down payment. He said he 'just has to stitch it'. I decided to wait for him to finish STITCHING my strap holders. (Mind you, he told me in a text a week before that he would have it for me after he stitches it & it would be ready on Tuesday. NOPE!) I told him I should not have to pay for the balance due to no contact & I'm still waiting. He said "I can take $10 off." My daughter said "Let him finish so you can be done," so I did. He said in 15mins it will be done. We waited for more than 15mins. He handed me the purse, I gave him the balance of $10 & walked out. The purse had a chemical smell to it with the material bubbled on the holders. Horrible service & crappy work! After using the purse twice, the holding tabs broke from the the chemical spray or adhesive. So now I can't use the purse at all. I attached the photos of the finished holders. These were Vince flats that cost nearly $400. Since then, I have called multiple times, only to be placed on hold until the call disconnects. No one has followed up, and there has been no attempt to take responsibility or resolve the issue. My shoes have either been misplaced or stolen, and the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.
