My regular doctor was extremely nice and accommodating towards me until finding out that I was gay and repeatedly tried to pass me off to another doctor at the practice after my first two appointments. I've requested for my records to be transferred to a different office and have had to call 3 times to get a form sent to my email so that I can get proper care elsewhere. To start, I had an original appointment at 5:40pm with my normal ob. I'm looking to get pregnant and I was suppose to be starting ovulation medication today. I got an alert in the morning saying my appointment has been cancelled. No one called to let me know, just a message in the portal. I was able to get ahold of staff to adjust my appointment time, and they gave me a new appointment of 5:20 with a different doctor. Upon this appointment, she proceeded to fat shamed me through my whole appointment. (I'm not 1000 pounds but i can lose some weight for sure, I'm not ignorant to that). She accused me of binge eating, as well as lying about my A1C readings that I had done already. She said that she thinks all I do is sit on the couch and snack, which is not true at all, and also said she believes that I'm not active at all, also not true. I have PCOS which makes it very difficult to lose weight. It's not that I haven't been trying, but she made me feel like a complete failure. By the end of it she had made me feel so badly about myself that I refuse to go back. I didn't even stay for the blood panel they ordered because I was so uncomfortable. I will NEVER be back here after this interaction and I advise anyone looking for an OBGYN to look elsewhere. The doctor's name was Abundis, so steer clear of her. She ruined a very exciting appointment for me today.

Since my doctor retired I was determined to stay at this office, but find another doctor with the same compassion as my old doctor. After a couple of visits and seeing the wrong doctor, I almost gave up. My old doctor's assistant, Michelle is with Dr. Rodriguez now so I decided to give her a try. By the way, Michelle is great!!! Dr. Rodriguez is Wonderful!!! She is very compassionate, she listens and cares about all of your needs. This kind of appointment can be uneasy to some, so a great doctor, a great assistant and a nice place makes a difference. Dr. Rodriguez appointments may be a little difficult to get, but have patience when booking an appointment. Trust me, she's well with the wait!!

She puts you at ease during the appointment with her personality and smarts. She is very compassionate and you feel like you can ask or tell her anything without fear. Her staff is equally nice and professional. No long waits in the waiting room. She also is knowledgeable about how insurance works and won't prescribe you something that you won't be able to afford if your insurance won't cover it. My mom also knew her before I started seeing her (she works at the same hospital), so that was a nice bonus and gave her trust points from the get go (trust in your doc is very important). Anyway... Dr. Frost is wonderful. She's really friendly, super nice, and if I need to talk to her about something over the phone, she always calls me back. When seeking an Ob/Gyn, comfort is the most important thing. If you're not comfortable with your doc, you'll never have a good experience. Dr. Frost is very personable and I always feel comfortable talking to her about anything. I have no insurance right now, but am on a quest to find the right birth control pill for me. Dr. Frost knows I don't have any and always gives me a few months worth of samples so that I can find out if it's going to work without shelling out a lot of money. Last time I was there just to chat with her about my options, she told me about a program Kroger has where they give great discounts to those without insurance on generic prescriptions. The one I'm on now literally cost $24 for 3 months worth, which is great. 8 bucks a month for b.c.? Can't beat that at all. Anyway, if you're looking for a great doctor with a very bright future (she plans to open her own practice soon), go see Dr. Frost. You won't be disappointed.

No one ever called me with my results, I had to check mychart. When I tried to make a follow up appt I was scheduled 6 weeks out. I had to switch to a different OB because I ended up needing D&C. This office is negligent. Dr. Nowasielski always seemed nice but her practice is awful so I couldn't see how she could be an attentive doctor. Unless you think your pregnancy will have zero risks I wouldn't risk it. They must work under awful work conditions to treat patients this way. I would give zero stars if I could.

This office refuses to consider their patients. When you have to leave your kids with a sitter, prepare a few hours to two days. One time my sister waited almost an hour, naked mind you because you have to be undressed, just for them to admit her to the hospital because her blood pressure was high. Ironic since she has NEVER had issues with blood pressure but they seemed to factor out the part of WAITING AN HOUR FOR THEM TO SEE HER. Maybe that's why her blood pressure was high? So yeah. Unless you don't think your time is worth a dime, steer away, and quickly. This practice needs a huge update and it should start with reception managing their slow OB's appointments.

After years of IVF I finally got pregnant with twins ('20/ '21). I asked what the best all women's…read morepractice was and RMA pointed me to Mission OBGYN. I was just in the midst of changing insurance when I was scheduling my first appointment. They said they wanted to see me at exactly 9 weeks to do important blood work/ check on things. I asked if we could delay by a few days by which time my new insurance would be in place and I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. They put pressure on me and told me timing was very important so I caved. They're the experts, right? I later got a bill for over $650. What couldn't wait? A standard blood panel and a tox screen. Red flag #1, I just didn't have the bill yet. My very first appointment I saw one of the doctors and then had a one on one with the head nurse. She asked a lot of questions and I was 100% honest with her. Why wouldn't I be? I told her I was on Wellbutrin and she started lecturing and shaming me so intensely I quit cold turkey. She asked about any history of drug use and I was transparent about using marijuana in the past, before my IVF journey. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW: Evidentially any admission of drug use at any time in your life allows them, without informing you or receiving your consent, to continue drug testing you throughout your pregnancy. Just an extra charge, right? All the visits were pleasant with the doctors. I remember my last appointment before my C-section was primarily me finding out what everyone's favorite foods were so I could cater a thank you lunch and everyone wished me well. I gave birth not long after. Less than 24hrs later a nurse at the hospital told me a nurse from Mission OBGYN sent over a tox screen in which I showed positive for drugs and she wasn't sure if I would be allowed to go home with my kids. I had the worst dissociative panic attack of my life. My husband was desperately trying to get in touch with any of the several practitioners. He was told they would call back, then he was told they were all in a meeting. They kept blowing him off. They never took his calls. They never came. They abandoned me. The same doctors that took at least a half a dozen phone calls from me early in my pregnancy when I was getting fevers from my progesterone suppositories and agonizing over taking so much as Tylenol now refused to see me or pick up the phone. What was I positive for? One test about 10 days before giving birth for opioids. This is the first time I was aware they had been drug testing me. I told the truth again: I had not taken any opioids. Social workers and nurses judgmentally insisted there was only one possible explanation but I had not taken any opioids. I was panicked and scared and confused. It took me almost a year later to realize.... poppy seeds. I was obsessed. Poppy seed bagels, lemon poppy seed muffins, everything bagels and everything bread and eating them all by the ton especially toward the end of my pregnancy. I was never contacted again by any of the doctors or staff. In fact, they sent a doctor I never met from another practice to tell me she was taking over my care. That's the short version. I was a good patient. I was honest. When I was in desperate need of support they disappeared. I experienced one of the most beautiful moments of my life and before I could even take it in I thought my children would be taken from me. It's taken me over 5 years to write this because it's all still so raw. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. They stole the most precious moments of my life from me and my babies
