I found out about Groove Direct through a friend and decided to booked them for our wedding, and they did not disappoint. I spoke mostly to Kevin and he was very nice. We told him we love country music and he sent us a remix of all the country songs and it was amazing. They really know how to get the crowd going and everyone was having fun on the dance floor. Just got done with our event, and I'm seriously still on a high from how much fun it was, thanks to Kevin and Ryan. I coordinate our company Christmas party and this is the second time we've used Groove Direct. Kevin and Ryan stayed in constant contact during the whole planning phase, and were quick to respond to all emails and questions. They are so easy to work with. But the magic happens on the day of the event. They were on time (early in fact) and ready to go. They know exactly what to play to set the mood. They had classy, jazzy Christmas music during cocktails, at the perfect volume to still allow guests to hear each other. During dinner, they provided seamless transitions between music and speeches. Then when it was time for dancing, killer music selections, great lighting, and fun mixes. And not too loud! The service Captain even came up to me (bopping her head as she was clearing tables) and said, "Your DJ is awesome!" I think that's quite a compliment considering she probably hears a few DJs every weekend! I can't recommend Groove Direct more. So professional, yet hip and fun. They are patient in answering all of our questions and did an amazing job making our (very precise) vision a reality. We had such a great time dancing all night at our event, as did our guests. Ryan took the time to meet with my wife and I in person before our event to go over the our wedding planner in detail. Groove Direct hosted my daughter's 18th birthday party last month and they did an awesome job! We met w/ Ryan months prior to the event to discuss the music we want him to play and go over the program. He was very easy to work with and even though he let us decide on everything, he had some great suggestions that we did incorporate in the program. At the day of the event, I was scrambling for a karaoke version of the song for the father & daughter dance because a good friend was supposed to sing it live. He found one online and problem solved. During the event, everything went smoothly as Ryan did an awesome job of following the schedule. After all the program, it was time to party and dance. Ryan & his partner played the music that my daughter requested. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and no one seemed to want to leave.
