They are that good and that busy so get on the list early. Worth every bit of the wait and the money. I have two dogs. Cannonball is my wild black Goldendoodle puppy and Duchess is my 11 year old girl who has been through a lot and doesn't trust easily. Watching her walk willingly into the salon with Sarah almost made me cry. If you knew this dog you'd completely understand what that moment meant. She even trusted Dave! Which is saying something bc Duchess isn't the biggest fan of men. This was only Cannon's second visit and Kassie got down on the floor to greet him. He climbed right into her lap. He looks absolutely incredible and we can't go anywhere without people stopping us. Cannon is my first dog that needs real grooming and I had so much to learn. Between Dave, Sarah Kassie and the whole team I've walked out knowing more every single time. Coats, brushing, shampoos, home care. They just give that knowledge freely. What Sarah and Dave have built here is genuinely something special. The entire team is trained in pet CPR and knows risks most groomers have never even heard of -- like heat stroke from blow dryers. No kennels, no crates, spotless shop, amazing atmosphere. They even have self wash stations for bath days or dogs that don't need a full groom. These are my kids. I don't trust them with just anyone. I trust them here.

Previously, I had taken her all over the San Luis Obispo area but no matter where I would take her, regardless of how high the reviews were, she would always begin severely shaking and trying to run away from the door of these facilities. When I bring her into puppycuts, however, she literally runs towards their door and even tries to run to their gate to get into the back. She's always so excited to see the staff. If our litter is out of stock they even check the back or on there phones. We noticed a positive turnaround over the past year at this location, animals are well taken care of and seem to get lots of love now. When I brought my dog to a grooming appointment and informed staff that I had given the product as directed, I was told my dog could not be groomed because it was considered a sedative. Staff had to call a manager for guidance, and when I asked to speak with the manager directly, he declined. My concern is not that Petco has safety policies, but that Petco sells and promotes a calming product while apparently prohibiting grooming after its use, without clearly informing customers of that restriction. The inconsistent messaging and lack of communication were very frustrating."

On the rescheduled day, they were still 25 minutes late and only contacted me because I reached out first to see if they were even coming. Before leaving to run errands, we were assured by the groomer, Justin, that the dogs would be put away safely and securely and that the gate would be properly closed. Based on that assurance, we felt comfortable leaving. Shortly after he left, our neighbor called to tell us our dogs were loose, they had gone down our driveway and were walking down a busy street in town. This was terrifying and could have ended in tragedy. Our dogs were thankfully returned by our neighbor, not the groomer. When I called to let him know that the gate was not secured, instead of taking responsibility, he made excuses and insisted he was sure it didn't happen. After inspecting our dogs, it was clear the grooming itself was also subpar. They still had dirt around their nails and dirt all over their bodies. They were not properly cleaned, and the service was absolutely not worth the money. Between the repeated lateness, lack of communication, serious safety issue, poor grooming quality, and refusal to take accountability, this was an extremely upsetting experience. I would strongly caution anyone against using this service.
