Doggie Stylz - I came in on Wednesday, 11/20/24. Your perspective was that I was being impatient, rude, and entitled. After telling you that I was calling my husband to come switch places with me so I could get to the hospital where my sister was in a coma, you said, among other things, "your sister is not going anywhere!". I understand that you viewed me as "wasting [your] time". You made sure to scream that at me repeatedly as you snatched my dog from the back before he could even receive service, yelling at me to "get out of [your] business and never come back!". Therefore, I cannot leave a review of service for that day, but in all fairness we have been pleased in the past. However, what you were really seeing that day was pure suffering mixed with my confusion from a misunderstanding. My husband asked me to just drop off our dog on my way to the hospital. We usually drop him off so in my grief-addled mind that was what was happening. The misunderstanding is in no way your fault, but you refused to listen as I tried to explain. In fact, you just continued to yell and scream about my impatience. From my perspective it was cruel and deeply hurtful. However I want to thank you because your complete lack of compassion and empathy allowed my emotions to break open. I sobbed for the first time all week in your parking lot. I continued to sob as, less than an hour later, the neurologist gave me the worst case scenario prognosis that my sister was indeed in a vegetative state and would not recover. So take this review more as advice to someone dealing with humans in your business. You never know what people are dealing with and a little kindness can go a long way. I will also presume that you may have been having a really bad day too and I just happened to step through the door of your business at the wrong time. read more

As other said, WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS FIRST!! We took our golden doodle in and knew since she was nine months old and had been swimming she had some matting. As others said, we paid the $178 Plus tip, BEFORE SEEING HER! We were specific NOT to make her look like a poodle. They shaved her! $178 to SHAVE her! I could have shaved her. But we brought her to a groomer! There was NO matting on face. So why did her face get shaved? Who knows. No point in trying to talk to them as you will read in the others' posts. I guess I should have read the reviews before taking my dog in for a bath and a trim. Both my wife and I explained we did not want him shaved to the lady that greeted us. She said they would Take care of him and call us 20 minutes before he was done. ( our dog is mix lab,golden,maybe Newfoundland mix with long hair,think chocolate colored golden) After I paid, and tipped they brought my dog out....I did not recognize him, they had shaved him all over less than a half inch long... not at all what I was expecting. This is not your ordinary grooming business! It's like a spa!! Serene, beautifully decorated, super clean and welcoming! From the moment I arrived I felt like this was going to be a unique experience. I am Pawley's mom and let me say, he's a handful. Yellow tabby, polydactyl, Hemingway cat! With his long thick hair came stomach issues from ingesting more hair that his intestines could manage. Therefore he needed to be shaved! Oh gosh! No groomer could handle him! Owner and staff are not people friendly. They seems interested in just quickly turning over their customers as quickly as possible. They use a system with a perspective customer having to sign a digital contract which gives the groomers carte blanche to alter the dog grooming if they feel it is most appropriate. We brought a toy Schnauzer in for a grooming, and informed the groomer the dog had matting in her chest area. The made a unilateral decision to completely shave her chest down to her skin, but also her four legs which were not matted. When they finally called back, the groomer informed us that they had the purview to do this as per the digital agreement without us, the pet owners, being informed of their decision. They told us they thought since they had to shave her chest, they felt it was appropriate to shave her legs to the skin as well. If you bring your child in to a dentist for a filling of a tooth cavity and the child comes out of the visit with an extraction of the tooth, how would you feel if you were not consulted prior to the unilateral decision by the dentist to extract your child's tooth?! Probably, horrified! Wouldn't you wanted to have a direct conversation with your child's service provider? They claim up front that only return phone calls after hours. and not during the hours of operation. Instead they sent a video before the dog was groomed with a hair dryer in the background completely eclipsing the audio and what they were saying. These folks are only interested in the process of digital communication because it serves the most expedient way of churning out customers while offering a feeble excuse that they no longer have a receptionist to handle calls, inquiries or customer concerns. This is a pet grooming salon. The groomer did a number on my bichon. She skinned her hind legs. She knicked her privates. god knows what else is wrong she is so lathargic.She went there with no issues but came out a damaged dog. I called and spoke to owner this AM and asked her if she did the groom she informed me that she doesnt do any grooming as i stated what was going on and what i noticed she just said go to your vet . Yes, I used to be a happy Client and my puppies too with doggy style. Today, we were excited to go there again and get our nails trimmed for $10 as we get there. This lady, rudely asks us what we need ? we tell her. We're here to get our dog's nails done . she sits down and doesn't say anything. As her employee comes out and gets 1puppie , after 2 dogs, I go to pay 1of them and she rudely says $20 and I say, ma'am, I only paid $10 thinking she was new before you know it. This place is great! I rescued a 102lb pittbull named fletcher and had a difficult time finding a place to bathe him and clip and clean his ears probably because of stereo types or maybe not idk. I will preface this review by stating I rarely write reviews. If I get what I pay for I move on, however if the product is of quality and the service is exceptional, I will take the time to write a review. That said, this is only the second negative review I have ever written. I gave Doggy Stylz a one-star simply because there was no lower rating. Perhaps we should have taken notice of the elderly lady who dropped her dog off before us. The lady appeared anxious about leaving her dog and the woman checking her in was almost chastising her, pretty much responding "we don't do that" to every request the lady made. However, we took a leap of faith. The grooming our dog got was not what we asked for. My wife specifically asked that her coat be left at 1-1.5 inches and stated I do not want her shaved. Further, directions were given to leave a 3 inch fan on her tail. Again, when my wife attempted to offer suggestions as to handling our dog, the response we got from the owner was "we don't do that". Lastly, we were told that the grooming would be up to two hours, but my wife would get a call when the dog was 20 minutes from being done. The dog was dropped off at 2:00 PM. At 4:15 PM, we got call that the dog was done and to come pick her up. I drove and waited in the truck and my wife went inside. A few minutes later she came out with the dog and I was shocked, the cut was nothing that was asked for. My wife was upset to the point of tears, so after getting the low down from her, I shut off the truck and went inside. At the desk was the lady who had checked us in and to her right was a gentleman in a uniform. I asked to speak to the manager, the lady responded, "I'm the owner". I stated that the grooming they did to our dog was terrible and not what we asked for. The owner, in a very condescending manner, informed me that they could not get a comb through the dog's coat so they shaved her. I said, don't you think it would have been a good idea to call before giving our dog a cut you know we didn't want. Her response was "we don't do that". I was now getting upset, for after this remark she had smirk on her face, almost mocking me, so I called her on it. I said you have quite the attitude, she raised her eyebrows and said "what do you mean", in full disclosure, I said "you're a bitch". This got the man's attention, and he told me to leave, now. I started heading for the door and said it's ironic that this is the most expensive, by far, haircut my dog has ever gotten, and by far the worst. Plus my wife gave a $10.00 tip to the groomer (this was done prior to my wife seeing the dog). The owner started to talk, but the uniformed man told her to keep quiet. I did wait 24 hours to write this review so to calm down. After reading some of the other reviews, there appears to be a pattern with this owner. That is, she is always right, the customer is wrong, so I suspect she will write a rebuttal, as that is her mantra. I will not engage in a back and forth banter. As a consumer you make up your own mind. If you want to pay an exorbitant price for grooming, have the owner listen to what you want and still do it her way, this place is for you. Otherwise, I'm sure there are places that cost less and have personnel that have the ability to deal with customers in a civil manner. read more

I took my two dogs to doggie stylz today for a haircut and mind you they have both been here before. A half hour after I dropped them off they called me and told me I had to come pick them up. So I went back to get my two pups and Christina kept telling me how bad both my dogs are when my one dog is sweet as pie and well behaved and the other is just over a year old and full of energy. They had bathed the dogs and brought them out to me, when one of my dogs was still soaked. So she told me I owed her 76 dollars because they had baths. What a rip off this place was and the lady Christine is not compassionate at all when it comes to your pets. I will never return with any of my dogs again. And to make matters worse my dog got worked up so much I went to the vet ER with him tonight because he had a bloodshot eye and a bloody nose come to find Out the vet said he must have been so anxious there. My Ellie loves to be pretty but usually hates getting groomed. She's gone here twice now and is getting more comfortable with the staff. This is a great groomer for a reasonable price. The cut is what I ask for and they have never knicked her. Ellie is a little dog and tends to be a little skittish however she does great here. Thank you for the peace of mind you give. They always took care of my Rosie little Papillion really well Paul is fantastic there was one time when I took her in to get groomed and her sanitary area was not cleaned Or cut so I return to the store and was charged an extra $15 on top of the 55 plus tip I had paid already I thought this was part of the grooming, please note it took Christine less than five minutes to do this and she was very annoyed but not half as annoyed as I was. I was so upset I haven't gone back since then my Papillion has died and my heart is broke I have another Papillion that needs to be groomed but I won't go for this overcharging stuff Paul is the nicest person you ever wanna meet unfortunately he does what he's told by his partner Christina I couldn't believe they charged an extra $15 very disappointed. We made an appointment and then ran across their YELP reviews; Yikes! We decided to continue with the appointment (by talking with the staff) and then met outside with the creep who came out. Lousy attitude, unprofessional and they never asked us if our dog was up-to-date with shots (warning, warning). While asking her questions, she said, "if you're not happy with our procedure, you can go elsewhere" and happily, we did. Who knows what's going on inside. Definitely would not recommend this grooming service. I have taken my small dog into Doggie Stylz a few times. The first few times everything was fine but the actual cut was not spectacular. The last time my dog was cut during her grooming leaving a dime width deep opening. We were not informed of this when we picked her up only discovered this once she was home. She needed to be taken to the vet to have the wound treated. There is no way that "they did not know this happened" which is what we were told. Due to the wound being so deep we have had complications, this whole situation has sickened me. When I look at this poor innocent dog who only went in for a grooming and ended up with over two weeks of follow up care, not to mention pain. No apologies, only we didn't know this happened! We took my 16 year old Maltese there and 1st 2 times no problem but maybe this was a different groomer but the woman treated my girl so bad she is still timid to touch. The owner is very knowledgeable and nice but I even ordered two new harnesses for Christmas presents and they never came in. Not only was this the WORST haircut my dog has ever had, the owner/manager was very condescending, rude and has no compassion for animals. I called and made an appointment to have my dog groomed. When you come in to a place of business and the owner is talking rudely to another customer that should be your first clue to turn around and leave, but we didn't. I wish we would have. She asked if I wanted a hood on her and because I didn't know what a hood was she explained it to me and I declined. I said once again 1 1/2 inches all around, not shaved and a 3 inch fan on her tail. She said ok and took the leash from me. I told her that my dog has a couple of commands that she responds to and she said very rudely that the dogs are not off leash and she doesn't need commands. She said The haircut would be approximately two hours and they would text 20 minutes before she's done so we can be there when she's done. Two hours and 20 minutes later they called and said the dog was done and pick her up. I received no 20 minute text. When we got there I immediately paid and added a tip to the bill because like most people, I assume, that because I received no phone call saying that they had any problems with my dog's haircut, that everything would be fine. Totally was not. My dog was completely SHAVED! I told her this was not what I wanted and she said that they couldn't get the comb through and "had to shave her". I told her that I should have gotten a phone call that they were going to do this and the owner said "we don't do that". What?!! You don't Call when you have a problem with doing what the customer asked for?!? Poor customer service to say the least. The owner continued to say that this is what I asked for. She had a condescending smirk on her face the whole time and almost laughing at me. If you want something specific I wouldn't recommend them, I asked for my golden to be trim(no skirt, trim legs, butt and face) she is always in the pool and the trim helps with the hot spots. When I was called back they told me that it would be $100. I sent them a picture as requested of what I wanted a trim golden, they called me back almost two hrs later saying that the trim was too short for her and it would be good; I asked if they could do no skirt, trim legs and butt, she said yes. When I got there she hadn't been trimmed, but "shaped up". Apparently the price for a trim is $178; so they did the shape up because that is the price they had told me, even though they could have told me that over the Phobe and I would have been able to make a decision then. I believe that they made a mistake in communication wish it could have been easily fixed. Instead they just did what the were willing to do for the price they told me even though it wasn't what I asked for. I told them I was unhappy and they told me it could bring her back and pay the difference I told them I would have done it if the had told me that from the beginning. Thrilled we have such a wonderful groomer nearby!! They were so professional with both my dogs! I have a timid German Shepard and they took such good care of her and even let me know she had an ear infection that I didn't know about. She came home so soft! They trimmed nails, cleaned ears, and teeth!! All her excess hair was gone and it made such a difference on her shedding! I have a little peekaboo and she was adorable too! They both smelled amazing! I took my dog to this place a few times. Knowing my dog was found on the streets and not use to the grooming process I tried to explain this. It fell on deaf ears. I told they after them tell me for second time my dog had a skin condition that my dog had a vet appointment the next day to please be sure to cut his hair short so the vet could see his skin, also PLEASE be sure to " pluck" his ear because he had an ear infection. The next day the vet called me up to tell my poor dog had a bad staff infection that could only be caused by the groomer NOT cleaning the Equipment properly. After two rounds of antibiotics he is much better. I WILL NEVER BRING HIM THERE AGAIN. They never even pluck his ears or took care of his glads which they so proudly say it part of the grooming. Doggie Stylz was great when they first opened in 2018. We took our terriers there all the time and they loved it! They have both since crossed the Rainbow Bridge and we now have a rescued MinPin, who doesn't need grooming but does need his nails clipped frequently. We have tried more than once to take him in since Covid19 hit, but the owner and her employees refuse to wear masks, which is a sincere problem since the owner's fiance works in a prison and is often still in uniform inside the store. Since I am immuno-compromised, Doggie Stylz is no longer an option for us. read more

Will NEVER use them again. My dog has been groomed here four times, Overall I was happy with the services provided until the most recent visit when he sustained a cut to his cornea. By the time I realized something was wrong with his eye upon returning home, Doggie Stylze was closed as it was a Saturday afternoon. I monitored his eye and ended up taking him to the emergency vet on Sunday morning where I was advised of the eye injury. I contacted Doggie Stylze Monday morning, spoke with Christine and advised her of the situation. She did not once offer any sympathy or ask how my dog was doing, only cold hard arrogance and repeatedly stating there was absolutely no chance that his eye was injured during the grooming and insisted it must have happened afterwards. I never once thought that the injury was done on purpose or that they were even aware, but we all know that accidents happen and YES it is very possible that while grooming a dog and trimming his eyelashes that an eye injury could occur. Very disappointed with the way she handled this situation, this is not how you run a business especially when you claim to care so much for the animals. I asked her if they were willing to refund any of my money for the grooming or the emergency vet bill, something, anything, she snickered and said "absolutely not". This is the 2nd time I took my baby girl to Doggie Stylz. When I got there she practically jumped out the car and pulled me into the salon. For me thst is a winner. Not only do they make my baby girl look her best she loves going. Tail wagging when I drop her off and wagging when I pick her up. So happy we decided to take her there.
