The shuttle arrived right as noted, and took us over to The Villages in Wildwood where a modern and clean charter bus arrived to take us to the airport. Overall, a quick easy ride and process. Very worth the cost and ability to take a nap and not worry about driving. The drivers were professional and friendly. Be sure to tip as they accept gratuities. Have an account with both a biz and personal card on file. Biz card was declined twice; personal card once. Called office and walked me through the entire process only to get the same "card declined" result. I know both cards are good. They offered to book it by phone but wanted to charge $5 more. Asked why I should pay that when the problem is clearly on their side. Response was that I was going to have to decide if it was worth it. I told them I have a solution; I'm going to take an Uber. It's not the $5, it's the way they tried to make their problem mine. I'm happily going to spend more on an Uber to be able to sleep an extra hour and not deal with bad customer service. This is not the first time something similar happened. Previously, their system didn't recognize my home address so the only way to schedule door to door service was to call them and they charged me the same additional $5 for a phone reservation. Another example of their system shortcoming somehow being the customers problem. My previous experiences with them in terms of on time departures and driver professionalism had all been positive. We frequent the Tampa Intl Airport and have to drive additional mileage to reach my Father In Laws home. We always rent a car and then turn in at the closest airport in Ocala. It is kind of a hassle so my husband found this company and we decided to give them a try. They transport people to various airports all over the country. We set up the pick up online for our ride and it was very easy. On the morning we were leaving, we received a notification that our driver was on his way. He arrived at the appointed time and loaded us in his van. What we did not know was that this van would only take us to Wildwood, Florida. From there we had to catch a different shuttle (same company) to get to the airport. We unloaded in Wildwood and within twenty minutes another shuttle pulled up and drove us the rest of the way to the airport. Driver was super careful and drove slow. From what I can see, they have AI cameras in the vans to monitor speed, actions the driver takes and whether they access their phones. Our first driver was Kirk and our second driver was Chris who was in training. Both drivers were law abiding and Chris managed the Tampa traffic with ease. Overall our experience getting to Tampa Intl Airport was very easy and we appreciate Groome Transportation service. We will use them again in the future as it saved us time and money. read more

Did a round trip from TV to MCO. Made on line reservations. Super early morning pickup at Spanish Springs - I wanted to sleep, driver wanted to talk (and topics I didn't want to). Seats next to window along drivers side were wet - condensation? rain leaks? and the bus had a sour smell. Drop off at airport was good. return trip was an afternoon and I misread my text for pickup and ended up at terminal A (not B) and was worried I missed ride, called in and found out they stop at B first, then swing to A so all was good. First they drove off as I was approaching at the airport, then it was a struggle to get on another bus, now I am stranded at Lake Sumter depot and finally had to find a neighbor to pick me up to take me to My house. Review for Dec 2022 service. Hmmm starting off with a rude driver that picked us up at the airport. We were standing in the designated area as instructed, however the driver did not like that spot so he was in another area nearby. Stood looking at us, rather then motioning us over to let us know he parted elsewhere. Then he threw (yes threw) our luggage in van, then piled more luggage on top from the other passengers. He grumbled throughout the 2 hour journey dropping people off. Ignoring the customers in van when he passed their street after dropping someone off, he said it is not on my route that way. So we traveled another 30 min to drop off someone else and then drove back the the street he passed to let them out. More crappy stuff happened, like him driving on the wrong side of the road because there was construction and he did not want to wait in line. I did call Corporate and gave them an accounting of the ride. One star because the company also donated a jacket that I had left in the van. I made a reservation for airport pickup at MCO for January 26 and February 6, 2026. i PAID $118.00 Due to the weather conditions , snow and ice the departure airport was closed, and the Governor declared a state of emergency. The airline canceled my flight for 1/26. I immediately called Groomtransportation to cancel my reservation, and requested a full refund. I was told that they have a NON REFUND POLICY. Considering that the circumstances were out of my controll, I would have expected that they would take that into consideration and do the right thing for good customer relations and make the refund. They said they would give a credit. I have no idea when or if I can use the credit as i do not reside in FL. This has left a bad impression and poor customer service without compassion. read more

My husband paid several months in advance for pickup from the airport, for the driver to not show up at all. Of course, since this is a drive service, we waited patiently for 15 minutes and after no calls or emails. So finally we called to see where the driver was, and the dispatcher told us the driver waited for us but we were not there. We had been waiting in the correct place for over an hour already. So, since it had only been 15 minutes my husband ask to speak to the driver. After being placed on hold for another 10 minutes we were told the driver was already at the Orlando airport. Meaning the driver managed to go from Sanford to Orlando in 25 minutes which is in possible --and if the driver had shown up and actually waited like the dispatcher had claimed that would have actually been a 10-15 minute drive from Sanford to Orlando. They did say they would send another driver and that second driver would be there an hour later than the original pick up time. So we proceeded to wait and again no driver at the time the dispatcher stated. Since the dispatcher had clearly already lied to us two times, I video taped the fact that the driver actually wasn't there and called again. This time the dispatcher stated the driver is in the way and will be there in 5 minutes. And of course because of the first two lies I asked if they can guarantee that and if they are looking at the gps right now. And again she stated 5 minutes. After waiting an additional 20 minutes the driver did show up and explained the truth that they had not actually come there was a technical error and they forgot to add us to the schedule. Frankly, if the dispatcher had said that and not lied to us a total of three times now, we would not be so livid. Originally, I was going to complain to the corporate office but when trying to look for the complaint center Google stated this happens all the time and they still refuse the people they leave refunds and will only credit you. My flight arrives late--at 11:15 PM--and I was informed that I'd need to wait until 12:15 AM to depart. That was already inconvenient, but after I paid, I received a text stating I wouldn't arrive at my destination until between 2:15 and 3:15 AM. Due to the unreasonable delay and late arrival time, I chose to cancel and arrange alternate transportation. However, when I attempted to cancel, I was told I wouldn't receive a refund--only travel credits valid for one year. I rarely travel to Florida and likely won't return within that timeframe, making the credits useless. Additionally, I was required to pay before receiving the actual arrival time, and there was no clear indication that cancellations would only be eligible for travel credits. This lack of transparency and flexibility made the experience frustrating and poorly managed. I strongly recommend choosing a different provider. read more

Groome Transportation was a complete nightmare. I booked a ride from MCO to DeLand and ended up going to their other pickup location. I called dispatch to ask if it was okay to switch pickup location, and the dispatcher said yes. I even got a confirmation text saying I would be picked up at that new location. I waited over an hour and a half and asked multiple Groome drivers as they pulled up if they were going to my destination. None of them were. I kept calling dispatch, told them exactly where I was, and they repeatedly said the driver was on the way. Then I got a text saying the driver was there. I texted back saying, "I'm here, and I don't see you" and I never got a response. The driver still never showed up. When I called the same number again, this time someone from Daytona picked up. She told me the dispatcher was working by herself on a busy Sunday, which is completely unacceptable for an airport like MCO. I want to be clear, I do not blame the dispatcher if that is true because that is way too much work for one person. That is on the company. I explained everything that happened, and I was still blamed and told it was my fault because I switched locations, even though they admitted I called multiple times and was told it was fine. Then I was told I cannot get a refund until Monday when I can call and speak to a manager. This was such a waste of a day. I have used the shuttle several times and they are always reliable, on time, and drivers are super friendly. My only complaint is that on thw return home there has never been a trip that the shuttle bus has a A/C that works properly. Its always very hot in the van, but only on the trip from airport to my residence. I will definitely continue to use the service but they should upkeep with the shuttle maintenance read more

I went up to the A-15 which instead of providing customer service said I'm not on her list. While I'm trying to find the information on my email as there wasn't that info on the text, the van at A-14 which is what I needed to be on pulled out and left. Telling customers 814 or 15 when they need to be specific is not very helpful or informative. I called and VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lynn kept telling me I was wrong but I knew I wasn't. I knew after my interaction with driver Robin that the bus next to me was the door to door service. It was approximately 10:30. Lynn kept telling me I missed the 10:10 bus but that WAS the 10:10 bus that pulled out while Iwas right next to it. . not know what she was kept telling me that I was wrong, but I was not! Now I have to wait another 35 minutes for another one to come. I thought it would take this opportunity to write a review. I've been traveling using the Airport Van for at least 3 years now and did not have any problems during that time.I've had several issues with groom in just 2-3 pickups. I told Lynn I felt I deserved a credit and she told me to call tomorrow . This service is a joke!! Scheduled shuttle service from Orlando airport to our residence on 9/2/25. Our flight was delayed out of Nashville so I notified Groome of the delay. As we arrived at the pickup location, the shuttle was pulling away. There was another shuttle with driver that did not provide door to door service at the pickup location. He called dispatch and was told that there were no other shuttle service door to door since it was after 11:00 pm at night. We had to pay $143 for an Uber to drive us home. Groome has refused to refund our money. What a nightmare!! I have disputed our claim with the credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. It will be last time they rip is off. I have used Groome several times this past year and have not had any issues. I make sure to give myself plenty of time between flight arrival and the shuttle departure times they offer as I realize they are on a tight schedule. The drivers have always been very helpful and courteous. I always receive text alerts for their arrival/pickup location. I have seen them put people on the shuttle that have missed a previous one or have been booked on a later shuttle and they have room. I always use their service to pick me up at my home and have never had an issue with them being late. read more

Thank God I was able to speak to Jamie in dispatch. She is an ANGEL! She was able to get the driver to meet my friend at a different area so she could get home instead of being stuck at MCO for 5 HOURS!!! I've used Groome Transportation many times over the past 10 years to get from Orlando airport (MCO) to The Villages and back to MCO. The vans are clean and comfortable. The drivers are friendly, as prompt as they can be with Orlando traffic and all have been safe drivers. The Groome online reservation system sometimes has been frustrating, but most of the time, reservations work out great. Customer service is available via phone 0800-1800 to answer questions. The pick up and drop off options at Lake Sumter Depot and Spanish Springs are express so faster than house to house pickup and dropoff. Overall, imo it's convenient and better than renting a car if you don't need one while at The Villages. read more

$40 to Orlando with easy online booking, pickup at Lake Sumpter Landing and no issues. Bill took us to the airport as the driver and knew which terminal my airline was without having to look it up. We were on-time. Why anyone would pay $100 more for private transport is beyond me, unless you don't have a ride to pickup point. I have no idea why there are negative reviews. Going UNDER the speed limit in the "fast lane" causing other drives to break check us and hold their horns etc. The driver couldn't stay in 1 lane and was constantly hitting the breaks and stopping in the middle of the road. He took the 3 passengers and got with his dispatch and took pictures of our reservations so he could clear it up with his office later. I will never, ever take another Groome airport shuttle service. Their vehicles appear to have severe maintenance issues rendering them unreliable and unsafe. The shuttle I was on this morning felt like the driver was driving much faster than he should have been...roughly 15 miles from MCO, the cabin began smelling like burning rubber on the highway and the driver suddenly pulled over onto the shoulder whereupon the right front tire exploded. The approximately 15-20 passengers I was with quickly exited the vehicle, grabbed our baggage from the rear compartment and began distancing ourselves from the van because there appeared to be flames coming from the engine compartment. 3-5 minutes later the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames. Groome is very fortunate no one was hurt, let alone killed during this incident because they would be facing a massive lawsuit. They will definitely be dealing with the police though. read more

we had two different reservations for 3 people and reserved a van a week in advance. our flight was running 5 minutes late. We called to let dispatch know about 25 minutes before when we were still on the plane. Our reservation was for the 11:15 van. We got to the van stop at 11:17 and they did not wait for us as promised. So we waited for the 12:15 am van, which proceeded to wait 20 minutes for people- so at 12:35 we headed toward the villages. We got to Brownwood hotel at 1:58 am to transfer to a van to Ocala. There were three vans waiting there. None would take us to Ocala as reserved. Not only did they leave us just standing outside, the driver of one van, pulled away to the other side of the parking lot and turned his lights off and one told us we didn't have reservations. The other driver went in the car to "call dispatch" and drive away while literally looking at us, leaving us there at 2 am. We called dispatch- After calling twice, 25 minutes later the first van came back to get us. It is now 2:25 am and we are still 30 minutes from home. The service is awful. My mom purchased a ticket from Lake Sumter Landing to Orlando Ai on 9/6 to 2:00 am. The bus never showed up and when we called at 2:45 the dispatcher informed us that the 2'00 o'clock driver never showed up and they were in "survival mode". We were informed that our next bus was going to be at 3:00 am with drop off time at MCO estimated at 4:30 am, which was past my boarding time. Two vans stopped by and said they were not allowed to take us and one diver said he was gonna take us because he was "too tired". At the airport I called and they said they don't do refunds.
