Grom is a gelateria chain in Italy - you can find it in Milan, Venice, and Rome (basically the only…read morecities I went to in Italy, there could be more in other cities). Their gelato is very rich, creamy, and fresh - you could really taste the quality. Fortunately they spoke basic English when I went, and were really friendly - let me taste various flavors before I made up my mind. I've seen other Yelpers complain that there's long lines - really proves how popular they are! Luckily I didn't encounter a long line when I went, but then again I also went when it was around dinner time and dark out. I opted for two scoops, one of hazelnut and one of raspberry in a cup.

My immediate reaction was, seriously, however off I went in search of what was described as the best marron glacé.....and they are just that, sheer perfection. The two young ladies behind the counter asked when they would be consumed and I explained I would be traveling so they thoughtfully went into the back room and got a supply of freshly made little gems that they explained would survive 2 weeks, well they didn't! Upon my return when I presented my little gems to the awaiting gourmand the sheer delight was overwhelming and all 24 were consumed over the weekend! Definitely to be repeated upon my next visit, I see 3 dozen!

We went on a pretty chilly night in February, but it's never too cold for a wonderful treat. There are so many flavors to choose from; an entire case of vegan friendly options as well!! I went with coffee, dark chocolate, and pistachio...all vegan, creamy, deliciousness. My colleagues got a bunch of the standard flavors and everyone was really pleased. Not only is the ice cream extremely tasty, but the couple running the place are the best! The woman is originally from Barbados and was so warm and welcoming and hilarious. She recognized some of my colleagues from before and thanked us for sending people from all over the world that work from our company to their store. If you're ever in Crema, save room for dessert and come to ICE Cream!

Per me, promossa in pieno...
