I had an unfortunate experience with Blatman Health and Wellness which was related to their…read morebusiness practices. I was charged $600 at the time of my initial visit and was told that a future (second) visit was included... $300 for the first and $300 for the next visit. At the time I thought that practice was odd but I didn't complain, expecting to return at a later date. After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.

He stripped my fascia and gave me targeted trigger point massage, and I was stunned to be able to hop off of the table with very little lingering pain. I've found both Dr. Blatman and the team of assistants receptive to thoughtfully answering questions and giving guidance. My experience has been a pain healing solution, and I solidly recommend this clinic.

I have always had an active lifestyle. At age 42, I developed pain in the lumbar & sacrum regions…read more The pain worsened over the next year to where my lifestyle changed. I could no longer exercise or perform household tasks. I went to an ortho surgeon, who prescribed 18 PT sessions to strengthen my back/abdomen. The PT released me from therapy because I did not have a lack of strength in my back/abdomen and that my pain must come from elsewhere. So, I went to see a chiropractor and after adjustments, he told me a story. His wife had suffered from chronic back pain. As a doctor himself, he had done research and came across a pain management doctor in the area. He sent his wife to that doctor and after several treatments, she was pain free and had remained pain free to that date. That is how I came to meet Dr. Munir. I made an appointment at Southwest Ohio Pain Institute (SWOPI) and by this time, I was waking up around 3:00 AM in such pain that I could not fall back asleep. I had sleep deprivation and passed out during my first appointment. His staff was excellent and I felt like I was in the right place. This doctor was going to help me. Dr. Munir completed a physical exam and asked questions to understand what triggers the onset of my pain. After a series of evaluations, he informed me that he did not believe it was an issue with my spine, but rather an issue with muscle spasms pulling at my spine, resulting in both muscle & structural pain. Dr. Munir outlined a program, which included steroid shots, a low dose muscle relaxer and a series of stretches to be performed multiple times a day that would target underlying muscles not often reached through traditional stretching. After a few days of following his program, I experienced my first good night of sleep in close to a year. After about a month, I was experiencing about 50% relief, but I wanted to shoot for the stars and get back to my active lifestyle. Dr. Munir suggested adding red light therapy to my program. His studies had shown that when used in conjunction with steroid injections, the red light therapy (performed twice a week for 8 weeks) would add additional pain relief. And he was right, it did. Not 100%, but by that point my pain relief was about 85%. It was well worth the time and the investment. Again, not one to give up or settle for anything less than 100%, I tasked him with finding that additional 15% of pain relief that would allow me to sleep each and every night, perform household tasks and get back to exercising. Dr. Munir suggested radio frequency ablation (RFA) and thus we started on the evaluation process to determine where most of the pain stemmed from. We decided to treat my left side first - it was a rather simple 20 minute procedure, local anesthesia, performed in the office. I walked out and soon realized that my pain was gone. It was 100% gone on my left side with about a 95% improvement on my right side as well! I could immediately tell the difference in muscle tightness from my left side to my right side. I came back in a month to see Dr. Munir for treatment on my right side. By then my life had changed dramatically. I had been going to the gym, I had started running again and lifting weights. I was sleeping through the night - every night - and feeling rested in the morning. My physical state had improved and so had my emotional state. I was ecstatic with the results! I couldn't believe that I'd spent a year seeing different doctors (by the way, I also saw a neurologist, a rheumatologist and got a second opinion with another orthopedic surgeon) and Dr. Munir was only 5-minutes from my house. It has been several months now and I am 100% pain free. I am also free to pursue the things in life that bring me joy. Thank you, Dr. Munir, for taking the time to ask me thorough questions and for spending the time to properly evaluate my physical issues and for developing a treatment program that was unique to me. Thank you for sticking with me and for not brushing me off because there wasn't a glaringly obvious reason for the pain.

The type of car he was giving was legit. One of the best doctors in the country Dr. John B Kelly. Said that it was an absolute scam to what they were doing to this guy. Like Dr. Kelly said The countries in a terrible way of putting politics into medical procedures. Listen if you go in there with serious back pain in there is an issue that they can prove. There's nothing wrong with the way that they prescribe medicine. I will also add that when speaking with Dr. Kelly he said that pain doctors are running scared right now. Afraid of losing everything they've got due to the system telling them back in the late 90s early 2000s that the pain medication that they were prescribing was perfectly fine. Think about this for a minute you have an actor on TV called friends. Matthew Perry right in a book that he took 55 Vicodin a day and he did not die from that. He died from other stuff that was going on later in his life but he did not die of 55 Vikings a day but yet people say that if you're not careful you will die instantly by taking two pills. Not true! Not at all! The people that are dying in this country are dying from the fentanyl coming across the border. That is not closed and just open to all kinds of stuff being brought into our country and given to our kids. I mean they're even dressing fentanyl up to look like skittles the candy. This is insane. I am a person that is in legit pain and have been for over 20 years have had eight epidurals and over 100 different x-rays and MRIs. I have without a doubt reasons that I need to be on some type of medication each day to help me get through. I am not living life right now I'm a 59-year-old male who worked in construction all my life. Who is finding it very hard to even play with his grandson. My doctor retired the first month into Covid. Now mind you he is around my age maybe a little older. But it has been my doctor for the last 25 years plus. Trusting him with my life just like I trusted Dr. Kelly with my life. Soon as I left the family practice center at Saint Elizabeth I have been taken off all my medication and have not found a doctor yet to prescribe medication. I know Dr. Kelly personally. And it's a shame to what has happened to Dr. Hanson. I really do wish you the best. I hope you fight them to the end and get everything you deserve. This is ridiculous what this country is doing to people like myself. Taking them off of their pain medication. Telling them basically to go to the street to buy whatever. I call the USA of Hitler ism they don't need to build concentration camps they just need to take people off their pills and tell them to go to the street. It's killing everybody anyway. But absolutely no one from Christ Hospital to UC doctors to private doctors I cannot get any help at all to get back on my prescribed medication. Facts and figures are so wrong about the opiate so-called crisis. It's all made up. It's made up by big Pharma companies. Let me start off by saying that I apologize to anyone that this review might hurt. It's not meant to. It's meant to inform you to the fact that doctors are not writing any type of pain medication at all to people that need it. Offering use Suboxone. That does not even have any pain in it. Offering methadone which is more likely to get you hooked on the medication than even an opiate does. I have went down this rabbit hole way too many times finding out things that I probably shouldn't know especially that with doctors that are writing medication's. That I have went to and ask them to help me but they said they will not. But I think it's crazy that those same doctors are putting the medication on the streets to be sold. hey Doc I really do wish you the best I hope someday you get your practice back and you're able to have that satisfaction of knowing that you are out there helping people. If you got this far and reading my review thank you. And have a blessed day.

Don't waste your time or money. Stick with your orthopedic doctor. I'd rate zero if I could.read more

I ask him to help me regain my prescription after my doctor got retired during Covid of being on pain medication for over 20 years. If I agreed to his procedure in the office of him raking in over $260,000 from my medical insurance company. That he would help me write my medication. After looking into how bad this procedure was and that it had a 60% chance of making me crippled. I decided against it. So after another six visits or so. He kicks me out of the office on the fact that he says he is no longer taking Medicaid patients that are in pain. What a lowlife. The office is an absolute shambles I have pictures on my phone I am not sure I'm allowed to show them. But this is where you go and have procedures done. I'm not sure that this is sanitary enough to do certain procedures. The fact that I have to give this guy a star is killing me. He does not deserve anything. Also finding out from pharmacist across the Northern Kentucky region he is one of the doctors that prescribe more than almost any other pain doctor in the region. But it's a matter of meeting his criteria to B a patient to get meds...

They have your MRI, CTScan or Xrays but nonetheless, you're a possible drug addict. There is a oxy addict profile and I don't fit it. Doctor sits across the room from me looking at records and asking questions. No exam. Then the games begin. Lots of unnecessary repeat visits to rack up insurance and out of pocket $$$. See the Psychologist (3x)--- nice lady who is actually a MSW not a Psychologist answer a ton of stupid questions about your quality of life on paper, so she can get paid to put them into the computer. Meanwhile, I'm in agnozing constant pain and mostly bedridden living on ibuprofen and tylenol. What quality of life are they asking about? What's the question? Nurse Practioner (2x). She finally gives me small prescription until the pain relieving injection. It's been over a month bleeding $$$$ from my pocket and insurance company. She discovers I have a medicine allergy asks regular nurses (2 different ones) to contact allergy center. They both look right in her face and say "No". After each visit, you have to sit outside an office and wait to be called to pay. Finally, Injection day--requires you to bring a driver and get an IV. Got the injection. Wasn't numbed and No pain relief. Got sent for new CTSCAN and Xrays ($$$) like that's the problem. Go back. It's weeks later. Doctor (maybe he's a doctor) says I have a cyst in my spine as well as disc issues. He wants to search for the cyst and pop it (what?) at the injection visit tomorrow (in his office). Says I will need surgery eventually but at 230lb I'm too large for surgery (what???). BS. I've seen My 600lb life, those people get surgery. Next day, (a friend) waits in her car with son who will drive my car back. They came from work to do me a favor.) I get IV. Tell nurse I only want pain shot not to burst the cyst. Nurse comes back pulls out IV (I'm a hard stick to begin with). Tells me doctor says he aint gonna do the pain shot. Doctor comes in says "I'm sending you to my surgeon." I said "Yesterday, you said that wasn't an option." He says "Well, you won't let me pop the cyst!" I left. They were supposed to schedule surgeon. Never heard from them again. 2 months of constant visits for this and that. Long waits, some more than 2 hours. They even had me scheduled for physical therapy and a nutritionist. PT won't even work with my back problem. This place is a money grabbing joke and he's a quack! You'll be going forever with little to no relief. Meanwhile, still in bed. Missing work. A friend recommended another place. Beautiful facility. Thorough exam and Doctor went over all scans and xrays explained my back problem. No interest in hunting for and bursting a cyst. Said unlikely to find it and puncture it on a good day anyway. 2 weeks later saw his anesthesiologist. No drug test. No special reduction of any daily meds before the procedure. No IV. No driver. No MSW. No Nurse Practitioner. No Physical Therapist. No nutritionist. No surgeon. Got the injection. Immediate relief felt better just walking to the car to DRIVE myself home. Second injection a month later. Relief lasted 8 months no pain or medicine. Still doing great! Don't go to Advance Pain Management. All they MANAGE to do is take your time, money, self respect and leave you suffering.
